Men like these equate their wife with their property. They are concerned about how could another man take away something that belonged to him. Typical!

And some viewers misinterpret it as possessiveness and jealousy which equals to latent love and care. I can't roll my eyes enough!!!

Yeah.. even I got the impression that his ego is hurt... how dare you trespass into my 'property'.

Though I haven't seen Viraj in action, seems like a milder version of him.

It was a breath of fresh air amongst all the SaaS bahu saazish stories (reason why I had stopped watching itv shows a decade ago).

Sadly, they have turned these characters into caricatures. You dont even feel like rooting for any of these characters. There is no relatability with any character anymore. This is turning out to be another saas bahu melodrama where the male lead is a pendulum. 😞

The Chitnis side of the story - both actors and story wise - was better from week one, even with Ishika being included. Only thing odd and unexplained was 'why did Ishika chose Jayesh of all people?'

Ahujas have been cringe from ep 1. But they chose to keep focus on the Ahujas. Else it could've been a good story and show. Ahujas took over completely and Jayesh - who is a much better actor from what I've seen in the show - is just a bystander saying the same things over and over.

Bang on point!

Viraj was the psychopath premium version. Virat is the free version. 😃

Agreed. All Ahujas can talk about is how much money they have, how elite they are, and how the poor do not have the right to exist in their universe. Typical nouveau rich! All they do is attend party or throw party, unless they are busy plotting or scheming. A very boring story compared to Chitnis story.

But is that the actual plan of the writers (along the lines of what we think Virat is doing) or is it what it comes across as in their attempt to whitewash Virat? [Honestly, I wont be surprised if it is the latter - yeah... I mean I trust the writer(s) so very much.smiley36]

Ofcourse the second one! Like you mentioned, they are on damage control mode now. That's why they had the hallucination scene and now this saving from goons scene. They want to show that whatever happened in mela was just a heat of the moment thing. In actuality , Virat is a gem. He cares and adores Amruta, just doesn't know how to express it without becoming rude or angry.

Basically, being violent and disrespectful towards Amruta is Virat's love language 😡

Think she didn't hug him back (haath utha but hug nahi kiya... unless I missed it.)

Fake ... lekin kya aur kyu? Faking it cause he knows Ammu didnt do it and wants to protect her? okay... but by doing this? Aur Ammu ne nahi kiya to kisne? woh bhi to nahi dhond raha hai... even if he doesn't suspect Babs.
