So many things in Jhanak that are similar to Imlie
ML is flawed and has grey shades. This makes it interesting to watch. He is very smart till he gets the FL. Once he gets the FL we will have to see whether all this lying or smarts still holds or the vamps stump him everytime
FL is pure, sacrificing and smart, but is always giving conflicting signals to confuse the ML, and keeps pushing him to vamp even though she knows he does not love her. FL hence is responsible a lot for
Keeping the main leads almost platonic for a long time, yet managing to create beautiful chemistry with the writing
Full on negativity with very little positive outcomes for FL, FL addressed as maid, naukrani endlessly with zer logic, venomous dialogs against her, emotional abuse, with ML standing mute most of the time, even though he supposedly loves the FL, yet audience put up with this intense onslaught day in day out, because the show is addictive and leads are great actors who emote well
Being unpredictable and doing drastic things that typically itv does not show. ML making vamp pregnant while married to the FL. Imlie trashed the ML in a manner that he could never recover. Yet trps were very stable throughout.
Letting vamps go scott free with zero accountabilty
Forgetting key elements - like the remaining ads, kashmir exam track? In Imlie she went from first year intern to full time senior employee with no progression in time and no explanation whatsover.
I don't want to extend this line of topic since this is not allowed in EDT much. But needed to add some points.
In Imlie the writing of the characters was much better since they had Leena's OG material to work with which they could cherry-pick and mould according to the current audience. This allowed Gul Khan to present a much more compelling and coherent story which the viewers fell in love with. Not to mention Gash and Sumbul did a great job in pulling the people.
As for the audience, maybe it's true they all unilaterally supported Imlie. But I clearly remember as a member of the S1 forum many people supported Adi too because Imlie's character was starting to lose its core by that time. I am one of them. I totally hated how Imlie brought in the police and the following court sequence and her leaving the house afterwards. I stopped watching after the entry of Aryan as the story was totally OTT by then. Good for Gash on quitting the show knowing when to do so.

Yeah, I guess that is ridiculous iTV culture! I am new to this so it's all so weird to me. I watched a lot of K-dramas where even before they were released they knew how many episodes they would have, the story, scenes every single thing is decided beforehand. It's not up to the audience to decide what they want to show!
And I hope Krushal does some OTT shows because his talent is too good to just waste it on iTV. But you do get fame and visibility thanks to iTV and I hope he does some good work using what he is doing right now.
