Mellowed down Jhulie?

I am not gonna say they have redeemed Leela Shah because she is still a self obsessed, uncaring opportunist but she is not longer the Jhuli we remember.

1. In spite of always doing Vannu jaap, this time Jhuli still remembered Maa fondly even when she had a new unpaid maid with same qualities.

2. Julie was shown ordering Dumpy a lot but she has never verbally abused anyone after leap, be it Dumpy or her old target, Maa. She does not seem to have aggression for either of them.

3. Julie treats Mahi, Ishani and Ansh equally even though Mahi is product of her daughter in law 's adultry and Ishani is adopted. She should treat Ishani like a maid and she should hate Mahi but she loves them. She used to fuss about CA being adopted but now she is not making any fuss. It was Dukhmukh who said that Ishani is adopted, not her.

4. Julie was truly glad to meet Maa and didn't condemn her at all during leap. Remember when she gave her Haye to Maa when Maa was cool with Trashu arrest pre leap. Post leap Julie didn't do anything abusive like that. Ab to Maa ne khud Trashu ko jail mein daala tha, that too in Amreeka and on day of a phestival. She wanted Maa to realise him but she didn't mistreat Maa.

5. Julie who hated career women, was okay with Dumpy restarting academy and Maa phocusing on career if she returned to India. She just wants Maa even though she already has an unpaid maid. Looks like Julie and Kavya are secret lovers of Maa.

6. Post leap Julie supported Maa throughout Kumpitition and truly wanted her to win. Julie is selfish but even she can't compete with Kinjal. She is truly enjoying the limelight (I hate to say it but this time she deserves it.) she got after victory even though Maa's chances seemed slim.

7. She is okay with Maa's and Pakhi's divorces and cheater Kavya living with her. Pre leap Julie hated divorces and wouldn't tolerate K for a second. This one doesn't care.

8. Leela seems to genuinely care for Maa, Kavya and Dumpy compared to Dukhmukh. Pre leap version just used them as maids and abused them freely.

9.Leela was genuinely nice towards adopted child CA and treated her like Pakhi. She doesn't seem to hold anything against her. Before the leap, she would abuse CA.

10. Most importantly, she has not joined V and T in anti Maa Morcha.

11. Remember how she hated MaAn and Anuj. Now, she is okay with Deepu and AnuDeep. Also, she met Anuj very fondly.

12. Unlike Vanar, she is okay with Dumpy getting married and even got excited about it.

I think Dukhmukh ka dhokha is loading. That's why Jhuli is no longer shown like an antagonist. It's weird that when I think of a bunch of Shah ladies, Kavya Jhuli and Dumpy appear together on that sofa in mind, talking about Anupamaa, AnTi and/or Titu. I do wish that instead of her, they had kept sudhri Hui Pakhi. She was amazing.

Yeh sab tab tak jab tak apna koi nuksaan nahin ho raha. Sudharne ki baat toh tab banti ki Dimple, Shah House se vida hoti. Anupama permanantlyAmdavad aakar basti aur iske har baar call nahin jaate.

Age can mellow down a lot of people, although one can't just be sure when it comes to Shahs including Baa who have a history of flipping that too drastically.. Baa tried to pull a Baa 1.0 after leap when she was watching over Dimpy with doorbeen, but I guess she didn't enjoy troubling her much, as she does with Anupamaa who lays herself down for jhuli like anything.. Woh feeling nahi aayi shayad ... Jhuli concluded that Anupamaa was a thief though, in America. Maybe now she genuinely does not want to fight much and live peacefully or perhaps she is just waiting for Anupamaa to come back and resume her position as an original slave. She had temporarily gone to the USA, so maybe she was not interested in abusing her much, but she did create enough scenes at her workplace and crossed the lines with Anupamaa's employers. If she can do such things in America, we can't be 100% sure that she would not now show her Vikraal swaroop once Anupamaa comes back. However, she did wish Anupamaa's success and gave her her magical diary which had the treasure of recipes lesser known to mankind. Baa1.0 would have never done that. In fact would have given her a manuscript consisting of a collection of exclusive curses that she invented over the years while dealing with Anupamaa.

Anyway, Shahs work fine when Anupamaa is not around. Baa enjoys good relations with her neighbors, family completes the ceremony with the bare minimum drama, and no one has any problem with anybody. There is still an unhealthy environment for kids, but then what exactly can one do about it when the parents don't care? Vanraj doesn't seem to have as sharp fangs as he does with Anupamaa and can be easily taken for a ride if T2 and Dimpy wish. He just gives vibes of a dangerous planning plotting man, but when someone takes any step against him, he starts sulking. Like he keeps giving smirks and mentally plans to manipulate the situation & not let Dmipy-T2 get married, but when they ran away Vanraj starts crying about who would take care of him in old age. Had Dimpy-T2 wanted they could have cashed on it but they decided not toh kya keh sakte hain bhai.. Raho wahi pe.. Jeeto Papa ka dil..

Creators love Baa a lot. But it would have been ideal to keep Pakhi redeemed instead. People liked that more.

It can be reverse too

With age many people become vile and unreasonable and start hating kids who do not follow their small orders

They want everything as per them like dressing, cooking, how house should look, who stays in which room , what grand kids should study etc

I have seen more grandparents indian rigid than changing to be softer

They always can threaten no property for you, no marraige for you if adult kids refuse to tow line

Although i can say vanraj has used all his salary to his family his 3 kids and parents only for 40 years he worked after degree

Yet vanraj is going to work bec samar dead and toshu nikama so no earning male at home now after samar death. I think when samar was alive he retired bec samar returned anuj money borrowing from vanraj lakhs he took

No matter how criminal minded vanraj is - hes spent all his 40 years working for parents, sibling and kids and house actually

While anupam and toshu and pakhi have not contributed 1 rupee to house

Kavya and kinjal and dimpy have worked and got money for home

Anuj has contributed to shah house not anupama from her personal hard work

Vanraj is typical indian parent who works and works never bothers of his after retirement spends all money on kids, wife, parents than in old age cries who will look after me dialogues

You should think of that at 25 years of age and plan not at 60 plus

Haskmukh has cleverly written half to anupama so vanraj does not throw hamukh leela out and run away after retirement - its like safety clause to take care of them till death (and the oldies harass the kid who takes care all life to obey their orders or always threat is there)

Most indian parents use property as bargaining to keep their kids to care for them in old age and not run away leaving them to live independently

Although that is changing nowadays as kids go to other city to work and never return after retirement too to avoid taking care of 70 plus parents
