Also , why to downplay mahaj's blockbuster jodi ? They should surely bring 20+ trp in a channel like Geo , where every average dramas bring 8, 9 trps

More or less the same.

As for Green, a lot of its shows get critical acclaim like KP and now GM. If you go and see the views and TRPs it wasn’t so great for KP either.

I think channel matters a lot. And then comes the names and type of content. Look at ZPKB. It’s got a huge star Sajal but it’s not getting a lot of views on YT either. Perhaps content is the issue there although I don’t agree to that. So overall a lot of factors go in. But SMD holds a solid chance for me because of 2 huge factors. The channel and Wahaj. That’s it. Baki how many remain to follow the show is gonna be based on content. EMA, if present in the story, will affect mass appeal a LOT though. I don’t mind it personally but it’s a delicate subject and it’s dealt with responsibly if that’s indeed the story.

I have no idea about haseeb n his scripts..

But, SMD indeed has a solid chance of getting good number and views. They have everything required: Two top actors as leads, Geo shows get good numbers, plus a love story..

The only hindrance would be the ema plot(if it's indeed true). I really hope it isn't ema plot. The hatred in Social media will be unimaginable..

If any one here have watched 'Silsila' starring Drashti, Shakti and Aditi, would know to what extent the bashing will take place..Drashti had to bear the brunt and none came forward to support her.

I hope smd makers know what are they doing and even if it's Ema they should take the accountability and safeguard their actors..

I don’t think there would be any ema, more like unrequited or one side love.

what all i want to say is script is like main pillar or foundation based on which audiences will hook to the show and make it hit even if directors or actors may not perform well. If the script itself is shaky and weak we can’t expect good director or good actors to rise above weak script to make it hit among the neutrals. Krq story should be pretty solid from the start so fingers crossed for that 🤞🏻

For current idea on KRQ script check out GM. His writing style is a bit different and not everyone’s cup of tea. Don’t expect anything fast paced. He lets his stories churn

12th fail , Jawan, Pathan - commercial hits with good story

Animal - commercial hit with bad story

Dunki - good story but commercial failure

I obviously want smd to be like first option because all three movies did well with good word of mouth from srk the super star To Vikrant Massey who was not a star.
