The writers and makers can't undo so many things

This is the tragedy of daily soaps. They don't have enough time to research and are at the mercy of TRPs. They have to think quickly on their feet when TRPs are dropping, and inadvertently introduce story lines that cost the plot and sometimes the entire story.

Anupama and Anuj deserved to be happy after marriage. Anuj was shown to be a smart, sensible and madly in love man. Anupama was utterly grateful for finding true love in life. It need not be a dream.

I empathize with so many of you who want to see them get back together. Irrespective of the hate so many recent storylines have garnered, Anuj's love is stuff from fairy tales, and we want to believe in magic. I hope they get back together and stay in love for a long long time. A love that is not moved by bad plotlines, so that is is always them against the world and never against each other.

They can fight social issues together with well thought out storylines and not knee jerk moments that are difficult to undo. I hope they grow old together. I would want to believe that someone can love from afar for decades and also live to see that love succeed.

honestly anuj character has been spoilt more than vanrajs

hes ungreatful son, hes ungreatful brother, hes ungreatful father, hes ungreatful fiance, hes ungreatful friend

all he can be slave to anupama and her shahs

so no one will care for his love to anupama of 26 years

hes no salim or napolean or shah jahan who were also crazily in love with someone in life (woman who could not be theirs in life or died young)

bhai all these ppl loved their woman but did not act puppy kind they all did their duties to family and did not wallow in self pity for one woman after death although they loved her like crazy for years and even went against family society norms everything to get her

all thought my lover is dead but i have to take care of my family my parents, siblings later wives and kids and kingdom(here kapadiya empire)

Nor all these lover boys became slaves of lovers ex hubby family or lovers family too

they all knew when to stop being a lover and become responsible Prince, king, son, brother, dad or other wives hubby in life

Imagine if salim will be saying anarkali all life than what happen to his family his 300 mothers his 20 wives and his 7 kids and to the mughal empire - some enemy within only kill his family and become king than

Ek time hota hai love karne ka aur remorse ka, you cannot indefinitely love someone all life although she do not care for you

Kamse kam anarkali used to love salim or juliet loved romeo or mumtaz truly loved shah jahan toh unka pyar main pagal hona jayaz bhi lagtha hai

anuj ka pyar khokla hai bhai ladki usko bhaav nahi dethi yeh dewewana hue jaraha hae

Indeed i would rather respect a lover like these above why? They lost love of their life with that heart ache they never abandoned their family their duty their job

Even with so much heart ache they lived or their parents sake(very parents who snatched their love may be but parents akhir parent hota hai abondon nahi kar sakthe jase anuj ne gk kaka ko kar diya ya malati devi ko) for other wives sake (zindag bhar they did not sit devdas kind like anuj married whom their parents said relatives said and whether they loved or not fulfilled hubby duty to wives) for kids sake ( lived for happiness of their kids, anuj ki tarah to nahi mai bhi kush nahi main apni behen aur beti ko bhi kushi se jeena na dunga) for siblings sake (jaise anuj abondon malvika, ankush bhai aise in sab ne apne bhai behen ko abondon nahi kiya kayal rakha pura life apne saath rakha unka khayal rakha not like anuj just abondon sister brother bec he did not get his lover)

You tell me than whose love is great

is it anuj who abondon every family member who give so much pain to adopted parents, sister, daughter, brother, gk kaka

or ppl like above who never abondon their family parents, sibling, wives or kids and lived for their happiness after lover death

anuj is commoner he can act crazy on streets in front of others but kings and prince  cannot even show how much pain and grief they have losing lover or wife sab andar dhaba ke rakhna padta hai warna world laugh and enemy take advantage of them

Anuj would be good if he would be single for last 5 years but now anuj is a selfish man who only thinks about his happiness and comfort.

In today episode Anupama literally declared herself maid to kapadiya’s that’s how selfish of Anuj became.

If he was single then all of this would have made sense now both of Anuj and Anupama are fooling Adhya and Shruti.

The problem is they are taking advantage of Adhya and Shruti but pretending as if they are doing it for them and trying to take morally high ground but we all know that what are they doing is anything but morally right.

Sorry, personal opinion and happy to be corrected.

Anuj-Anupama's love story was set to doom. Anupama is Anuj's zidd, obsession and Anuj is Anupama's safety net, last resort.

Saath hokar bhi saath kaha the way dono?

Agree. A pretty bad storyline to introduce a sincere character who loved Anuj and Adhya dearly. Anu's character anyways had so many flaws to appease the middle aged and older women as audience (especially the not being able to leg go her former in-laws and adult ungrateful kids), it is even harder to root for a fairytale for her now with Shruti opposite Anuj.

Anuj is acting selfishly but he I would like to believe that the tests of time have weakened him. Not very noble on his part to continue pining for Anupama while being engaged to Shruti. But I don't see what other choice did he have in the face of Shruti's parents passing away suddenly. He probably knows the right thing to do is to reciprocate the love and care Shruti showered on them, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

Anuj does not have the high moral ground to confront Shruti with what he wants.

As for Adhya, her hate for Anupama is not misguided. It was terrible on Anu's part to leave a 5 year old behind. The makers made a terrible mistake by introducing that storyline. And an even bigger mistake is not introducing a storyline where she actually realizes what a terrible mistake it was to leave her child behind. Where she realizes that she is not the victim but out of hurt, she acted hastily. But that whole part was badly executed. So out of character for Anupama.

They can possibly get back together respectfully if Shruti decides to bring them together. If Anuj acts on his own volition, it won't be a good color on him.

Agree..I'm just thinking of ideas how makers can salvage their love story.

For that, it is important that Anupama realizes that she made mistakes in life. The biggest one being leaving her child behind and a close second one being not giving the time and attention her new life and family deserved.

Theirs is a relation of convenience. Toh jab matlab nikal jayega, inka rishta bhi kamzor ho jayega. That's never good and thats what happened. Besides, how will they then justify the 5 years of Anupama's abandonment of Anuj and Adhya? Clearly none buys the "Unki khusi ki khatir" excuse.

So the current situation is,

1. She abandoned them without any contact for 5 years. Isn't that called absconding?

2. There is neither realisation nor repentance. On the contrary they are trying to justify it with baseless arguments.

3. The man who held himself together to for 4 years for his daughter's sake, at the first opportunity that he met the love of his life (even after the lady abandoned him without a guilt), he became insanely obsessed with trying to get her back in their life.

4. He cheated and is cheating Shruti and doesn't even realise it. When his daughter tries to make him realise what he is doing is wrong, he recount everything he has done for her as "sacrifice" indirectly calling her the only roadblock and burden in his pursuit of love.

5. Anupama, a 50+ year old, mature woman, married twice having raised 3 adult children, saving 3 girls in her own family more than once of unsolicited advances, claims innocence to ANY of Yashdeep's advances and inspite of Yashdeep openly asking her out on "dates" which she Agreed. She clearly got preferential treatment by the family, at workplace and Yashdeep so much so, that she never bothered finding a place for herself because she stayed rent and utilities free at Spice and Chutney and hopped in and out of Dhillon's at will And under duress.

What options did Anuj have given the sad turn of events?

He was emotionally cheating on Shruti even before the crash. Would it have been right for Anuj to marry Shruti and continue to cheat on her? It was wrong of him to promise marriage when he clearly did not intend on it. It was wrong and Dumb of Shruti to pursue and persist on marriage with Anuj knowing he doesn't love her and now, after knowing they both are emotionally cheating behind her back.

They will not be able to bring Anuj and Anupama together, without making BOTH of them look wrong, even by killing Shruti's character or making her evil. And that would stamp the fact that Anuj and Anupama are no different than Vanraj and Kavya. Hence completing the 360 degree circle of both the characters.

Whether we agree or not, in this whole thing, the Only Character that has been consistent and Correct is Adhya. If showing your parents the mirror in what they are doing wrong and standing up for the one person who held them together and NOT wanting injustice is "interfering in adult love lives", "zidd", "badtameezi", then aisi zidd sahi hain jo galat hone aur karne se rol paaye. Maze ki baat yeh hain, chalo bachchi zidd kar rahi hn, control karrahi hn, bade control ho bhi rahe hain, Waah! Woh bhi waise bade jinhone "bachchi ki khusi ke khatir" chod diya 5 saal bina contact ke.

So, it would be better for Shruti and Adhya to red-handed catch Anuj-Anupama, Shruti and Adhya to return to India perhaps making (the only) way for Anuj-Anupama getting back.

Yes, too many badly written plots. There is no closure in real life. And it seems there wouldn't be any here as well.

Writers should understand that admitting the mistakes of protagonists doesn't make them look weak, but makes them relatable.
