Thank u so much Padmajaan. This compliment means a lot to me as you seem to have good knowledge in music, which reflects in your song selections too 😊😊

This song is so deep and emotional and apart from singing so beautifully, you captured all those emotions with your voice, the hurt, the pain, and at the end defeat. How much it hurts to breaking up when you have lived those emotions.
Thank you soooo much Samie. that means a lot. ❤️
The song you chose is one of my favourites. Loved your "la lalala" parts. Very nicely sung. ❤️ I am so happy that thanks to this contest, we are able to hear your lovely voice again after such a long break! 🤗

Shirsha - Girl, I really enjoyed listening to your entry. For me this was your best from all 3 entries. 👏👏 Very very beautifully sung. You have sung one Falguni Pathak song before too, if I remember correctly. That was very good too.
Padmajaan - This was a very brave choice! Very tough but you were so good, especially at a few places in antara. Waah. 👌 Pat your back for the song selection.
Maddy - Ye voice ki khanak mujhe de de thakur! Very tough song and as always you completely nailed it. ❤️ I heard it twice on loop. 👏

Smitten - your voice is mesmerizing! You sang beautifully and pronunciation was on point
Padmajan- the ghazal chosen and the singer itself was difficult due to the classic tones and raag and you did really well
Thanks, Samreen … pronunciation was a struggle for me. I still have no clue what vaaabasta or ulfat mean, but I’m glad you found it decent.
And needless to say it was fabulous hearing you again in one of my all-time favorite songs. you sound lovely and make it seem so effortless, as always!

ROUND FOUR
Well, well, well.
We’re in Round 4!
Congratulations all of you for making it this far!
And really well done on your performances!
Ready for Round four?
The next round is a bit of a twister because this time we’ll be picking the songs for you!
Or rather you’ll be the picking the songs we’ve picked for you!
Welcome to
Organizers’ Choice
The 4 of us- i.e LizzieBennet, Dreamofendless, Viswasruti and Koeli have each chosen 4 Hindi film songs across the decades starting from the 50s to the 2020s making a total of 16 songs.
You will need to choose one of these to sing for Round 4.
However, the twist is that no song can be repeated.
So we’re going to let you take turns choosing.
Once a song has been picked by someone, it’s taken and therefore crossed off the list so it won’t be available as a choice.
Please make your choice wisely and think about it carefully because you won’t be given a chance to change your mind later.
Don't take too long when it’s your turn to pick so that we can move on to the next person quickly.
We will be letting you take turns based on your Round 3 scores going from bottom to top.
As always, these rules will apply -
Your song can be on any platform but please make sure the recording is clear and audible
The length of your song shouldn't exceed 2:30 mins. If it is longer, the Judges will only listen for 2:30 mins for scoring.
You can start and end your song at any point, it doesn't have to start at the beginning and go on till the end.
You cannot use any recorded background music or karaoke.
Musical Instruments will be allowed only to maintain tempo and scale.
Beat boxing is allowed along with the song.
You can send your entries to LizzieBennet
Deadline will be June 16, 23:59 IST.
Check the next post for our picks.
I’ll tag each person when it’s their turn but if you’re following the thread and see that it’s your turn, don’t wait for my tag. Go ahead and make your choice and tag me in the thread.
