Sanaya did these many shows after IPKKND? The only show that i knew she did after IPK was some show called chanchal in SONY SET cause i remember watching the promos for that show back in 2013

Hey I saw Baasha after a long time....

I have to say it is OG template for masala movie of a peace-loving social man with a violent past that comes back again and again to haunt him , that is used in commercial cinema soo much....

The difference between average and great masala movies boils down to one thing really - Moments...there was a scene , where the gangsters try to molest his sister and the hero beats the shit out of the ruffians and the villain. The transformation from a docile Auto driver to a fire breathing hero was so magical, the dialogues was so powerful and the strides he takes , so mesmerising, that I was left breathless. I was left wondering ‘what an actor cum star'!! what a screen prescence!!. How he instantly changes a cliched fight to a sterling visual...

His screen presence was electric, I couldn’t take my eyes off him.

Everything just fell in place for this movie...

People say this was remake of Hum but Hum was different

Baasha was an emotion ....i remember once i went to a trip with my parents when i was 7 , got sick while returning and instead of crashing on the bed after returning home i turned on my TV and watched this film....that's how much i love this movie...

Yes...you can never explain why it feels soo good. It is an emotion...

Speaking of social messages, I am surprised at how good woman representation is and treatment to them is..His two sisters..one got married..Only, before Rajnikanth can find her a husband, he sees her at a sweet shop with a boy. I was all set for him to be the angry big brother type, but instead he just kind of scares them a little, and then immediately backs off and says he will go see the boy’s parents and arrange the wedding. So nice!

And the other sister, the one who wants to go to medical school, there was never any talk about marrying her off or anything like that, they were all super encouraging of her dreams and successes. Excellent

Mannan aged like milk when it comes to this , both the male and the female leads were toxic asf

Specially the love track was handled really nicely...

Heroine was not stupid (which usually is a big flaw in action movie heroines)...they fell in love through talking.again unusual..

.The heroine, barely there though she was, had some strong scenes, confronting her father over his treatment of Rajnikanth's character, telling hero how she felt, and she also gets the final lines of the film. Standing in for all of society, she is the one who forgives hero for his violence.this sudden turn to her at the end asking if she still wants to marry him after seeing what kind of man he is was such a beautiful surprise.But the bigger point is that she is the one he asks. Not his police officer brother, or even his stepmother. The young woman in the film is given the ultimate power of judgement on behalf of society.

Amitabh Bachchan in hindi

Rajnikanth in Kollywood...

When analysing their powerful screen presence I found that they are so similar yet so different...

I had read somewhere a metaphors, if Amitabh is Thunder, all deep and slow and rumbly, then Rajnikanth is lightening, all fast and shocking and then gone in a moment.

I completely agree... Amitabh Bachchan is always the Amitabh Bachchan with same serious deep aura even when he is off screen...but Rajini sir is electric on screen..but this bundle of energy we see on-screen almost disappears when he is off-screen..it is like he is someone else..
