For the first time Vasant heard her mother's name. She feels a connection to it but doesn't know why.

Will Vaishali get her way with Samagra? Is she with him fully or playing a double game?

Chapter 101

Vaishali hugged him more tightly and Samagra was shocked. She kissed his chest and he pushed her away.

Samagra- What is this Vaishali? Are you playing a double game with me?

She had tears in her eyes and said- I have fallen for you.

Samagra- Honey trapping huh? Do you still work for Virochana?

Vaishali- I work for no one except Mahishmati. My feelings for you are geniune. We are a married couple, you shouldn't deny my love.

Samagra- This marriage is a sham, I don't accept it. There is only one woman in my heart and I only love her.

He hurriedly left her tent while it was still raining..

Vaishali was left alone in tears.....

Samagra came to his tent and was angry. He thought- I shouldn't trust her too much. Afterall she was planted here by Virochana. But I can't do anything without her help either. What if she becomes angry now. Ugh.....

Prithvi was getting ready to go to the famous temple with Vasantmitra when suddenly Avantika came.

Avantika- Prithvi, can I come to this temple?

Prithvi- Ah....I am going with Vasantmitra.

Avantika- Don't worry, I won't be between you too. I genuinely want to see the temple and pray for my life.

Prithvi- Your life?

Avantika teary eyed- I have lost everything, my father never really cared for me, I lost the person I loved. What else is in my life to stay alive for? And she started crying. Prithvi got emotional and he came closer- Avantika, don't cry please.

Avantika hugged him and started crying more...she hugged him real tight and he was feeling uncomfortable. He still didn't say anything as she looked in distress. He hugged her too to comfort her. She started rubbing her fingers on his back and he felt weird.

Suddenly Vasantmitra came and was shocked to see them like this. He pushed Avantika away.

Vasantmitra- I am sorry, I will come later.

Prithvi- No, Let's go. Avantika is also coming with us.

Vasantmitra- Why? I mean it's our trip right? Avantika can come with me some other day.

Prithvi- She wants to visit. Let her come.

Vasantmitra- Fine....she felt really jealous and angry and Prithvi was uncomfortable. Avantika looked in grief but inside she was really happy that she came between them.

Prithvi sat on his horse and Avantika in a carriage. She thought Vasantmitra would also sit in a carriage but instead she sat on a horse. Prithvi smiled but Vasantmitra was angry at him.

Avantika- She sat on her horse? How unregal. She chuckled. A princess always sits in a carriage.

They started their journey.....

Samagra and Vaishali got ready to return back. In night they stayed at a Sarai. They took two rooms separately. Samagra came to meet Vaishali in her room who looked lost.

Samagra- Vaishali, you called me.

Vaishali- Yes, look at this. Samagra saw a letter. It was from Virochana in which it said Bhadradev will soon attack Meluha and she must make Samagra drunk with both her love and alcohol so he couldn't help Prithvi.

Samagra angry- This man is extremely vile. He thought- I bet this Virochana must have done something to Maharani Lachi. Poor Vasantmitra, she lost her rights as a princess and had to live like a dacoit because of him.

Vaishali had tears and she said- Now see, I am not betraying you. I genuinely want you to succeed and help make ties better.

Samagra- I am sorry Vaishali, I got carried away but the woman I love, I love her more than my own life.

Vaishali- Why you always say woman? We all know she's Prarthna. Or is there someone else in your life?

Samagra only smiled and didn't say anything. As he was about to leave she hugged him from behind.

Vaishali- Samagra please, I love you very much. Please accept my love.I will stay as your slave. I will be serving both you and Prarthna.

Samagra turned and said- Vaishali, after our mission will be over you are free to marry anyone, someone who genuinely loves you.

Vaishali- We are married in eyes of people and god. No matter how it happened. It suddenly started raining.

Samagra- What do you want exactly?

Vaishali- Your love.....

Samagra- Impossible

And he left in hurry...

Vaishali thought- I must find out who is the woman he loves exactly. I am convinced she's not Prarthna at all. It's someone else whom he loves so much that he can even die for her.

Chapter 102

Prithvi, Vasantmitra and Avantika reached the temple. They stayed at his small and cosy palace nearby.

Vasantmitra was changing into night clothes when suddenly he hugged her from back. She was very angry and wasn't talking to him

Prithvi -Looks like my love is angry with me.

Vasantmitra- Angry? I am furious. Why the hell you invited her on our personal trip. It's insulting to me. And why were you hugging her?

He laughed...- She was crying...

Vasantmitra- Oh so you are her shoulder to cry on. Not surprising, you are lovers anyway.

Prithvi- Were, were lovers not anymore.

Vasantmitra sarcastically- If Maharaj wants to marry her, who am I to object.

Prithvi grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to him- Forget about her...she's our guest. Let's focus on ourselves right.

Vasantmitra saw that their window was open and it was in front of Avantika's window.

She smiled and hugged Prithvi. She kissed his chest and then neck. Suddenly Avantika came to the window and saw them embracing. Vasantmitra noticed that she was watching them and she started kissing Prithvi to give a reality check to her.

Avantika in tears....she closed her window in anger- Your happiness will not last long Vasantmitra. Prithvi is mine and only mine. I don't want to throw you our of the palace. I want you to suffer the pain I am suffering. You will be reduced to a mere concubine like Vasudha and I will be the queen.

She saw a dress which she brought with herself....

She remembered....

One year before their break up .....

Avantika had come to his palace....he entered her room...

Prithvi- Avantika close your eyes...

She closed

Prithvi- Look I have brought you this.

Avantika- Wow Prithvi, such a beautiful dress.

Prithvi- This dress I specially prepared for you.

Avantika kissed him......

Prithvi took her hand and started caressing his face and kissed it.

Prithvi- I will never leave this hand.....

Avantika came out of her thoughts and saw her hand and she kissed it ...and said- You always said you would never leave this hand....what happened prithvi, my one mistake and everything ruined. Why? I made a blunder in anger but I am realising my mistake. Give me another chance. She started crying and fell on her bed..

Chapter 103

Prithvi and Vasantmitra were waiting for Avantika. She came wearing the dress Prithvi gifted her years ago with very beautiful jewellery. She was in a look which Prithvi liked. He saw her and became emotional remembering their past and what could have been. Vasantmitra saw him and felt uncomfortable.

Avantika- Lets go...

Prithvi- Hmm...

The three were climbing stairs of the temple. Suddenly a flower fell from Vasantmitra plate. She bent to pick it up but Avantika and Prithvi were climbing the stairs leaving her behind. She saw them walking in tandem. She thought- Am I coming between these two lovers? She is his childhood love and they wished to marry each other. She remembered him admiring Avantika when she went to Bhadradev's palace. She thought- If not for Avantika's mistake, Prithvi would never consider me as his lover let alone wife. He would still be calling me boy faced and I might be pursued by Lakha. A tear fell from her eye....she went after them. She wanted to stand with Prithvi but Avantika was standing really close to him. In anger she stood beside Avantika. Avantika noticed it and smirked.

Prithvi had his eyes closed and he was praying.

Avantika prayed- Mahadev please bless me and return Prithvi back to me.

Vasantmitra prayed- Mahadev please always keep everyone I love happy and in good health.

Prithvi prayed- Mahadev, help me defeat Bhadradev and expand my Empire. Let me glory spread far and wide.

Samgra and Vaishali reached the palace. Kanak welcomed him but wasn't too happy to see Vaishali. Prarthna was very happy to see her husband back but he was giving her cold shoulder for her chain fiasco.

In night

Samagra was reading a book and Prarthna was sitting stating at Samagra. She thought- Vaishali was with him, alone, she might become with a child soon. She had tears in her eyes.

Prarthna came to Samagra- Arya

Samagra- Hmm..

Prarthna- Have you forgiven me?

Samagra- I have no choice

Chapter 104

In night, it was raining heavily which halted Prithvi's return and he decided to stay at the palace near the temple.

Vasantmitra was sleeping and he was looking outside enjoying the rain. Suddenly he saw Avantika standing in rain and got confused. He looked at Vasantmitra who was asleep and left to meet Avantika as he was curious.

He came outside with his guards....

He saw Avantika was crying in the rain....

Prithvi- Avantika what are you doing in this heavy rain?

Avantika- I am trying to drown my sorrows.

Prithvi- What? He took her hand and said you will catch a cold. Come with me.

Avantika- I will not. Who are you to order me like that? She started crying and said go back to your queen.

Prithvi grabbed her hand and forcibly took her to her room.

Prithvi- What is wrong with you?

Avantika- What is wrong with me? She shouted- What is wrong with me? I Love you Prithvi, that is what's wrong. And you gave my place to someone else. I can't bear to see it.

Prithvi- You destroyed everything and now victimising yourself.

Avantika- For how many times I should say sorry to you? I admit I did a blunder. Now what? Why are you torturing me by rejecting me again and again. Did you forget all the promises which we made to each other in the past.

Prithvi was teary eyed...

Avantika came closer and put her head on his chest- I can listen to your heart beat....I know you still love me. Our love is not dead.

Prithvi was silent.....she caressed his chest very lovingly......her wet hair and beauty slowly was affecting him. He was getting nostalgic remembering their past.

He unconsciously hugged her....

Avantika thought- It's working......she started being more loving to him....she rubbed her fingers all around his body....and he kissed her shoulder.....

She pushed him on the bed and started kissing him......he was losing herself due to her .........but suddenly Prithvi remember Vasantmitra's accident that day and pushed Avantika away on the bed and got up.

Prithvi- So that's your plan....you want to force yourself into my life again.

Avantika- Force? Prithvi you still love me. You have admitted it by your actions.

He got tears in his eyes and said- Once you were my love, I guess I got emotional but everything's over. You are leaving for Mahishmati.

Avantika- No I will not, I have come here never to return. Either you will marry me or I will die.

Prithvi- Are you threatening me?

Avantika- No I am telling you the truth.

Prithvi- You want to marry me?

Avantika- Yes

Prithvi- Then request Vasantmitra....

Avantika shocked....- What? I will not now down to a person of her lineage. I am a princess.

Prithvi smirked- Take her permission first....then you can marry me.

Avantika was shocked to her soul, she didn't realise the effect of Vasantmitra was this deep.

Prithvi showed Avantika her ring- You know why I keep this ring with me.

Avantika- Because you love me.

Prithvi- No Avantika, to remind myself again and again never to trust anyone. I trusted someone like you and you so blatantly in anger was ready to send me to torture chamber of your father.

Avantika's face became pale with the realisation.

Prithvi- You women think I am some fool in love. He had that same dangerous and cunning eyes. Vasantmitra doesn't control me Avantika, I control her. You, Rajmata, Lakha or even Samagra, are all controlled by me. I understood your stupid plan when you came to play chess with me and wore my gifted dresses. That you wanted to remind me of our dead love story.

Avantika looked dumbstruck.

Prithvi- I warn you, stop playing your games. He grabbed her neck......then your wish to die will be gladly fulfilled by me. Stop trying to hurt my love. She was a dacoit but I am a bigger dacoit than her who has imprisoned her here without her knowledge. If I wanted you, I would have you. But your conduct is really repulsive to me. He threw her on her bed and left in anger. Before leaving he said- You were once my friend and only that is the reason I tolerate you in my palace.

The realisation completely broke Avantika......she started crying heavily. She finally understood she lost Prithvi forever.

Prithvi returned to Vasantmitra who looked like an angel sleeping....he caressed her face which woke her up.

Vasantmitra- Prithvi? What happened?

She got up

Prithvi- Nothing, a beautiful angel was sleeping, I wanted to admire and love her.

She got shy......he took her head in one hand and waist in another and made her lie on the bed. He threw wet rose petals on her and said- Only you are my love and sniffed her. She said- Maharaj is being extra loving tonight.

Prithvi laughed .......

Next day when Vasantmitra and Prithvi were about to leave, Avantika came but she didn't look at them. Vasantmitra noticed that Avantika's eyes were swollen and she looked sad. Her natural instinct as her sister made her worried for her.

Avantika sat in her palki while Vasantmitra and Prithvi left on their horses. Avantika wasn't talking to anyone.

Chapter 105

They reached the palace. Prithvi met Samagra and they hugged.

Prithvi- My friend, my brother, Bravo, I am really happy today. Your success made me really happy.

Samagra- Vaishali helped me a lot so she deserves credit as well.

Prithvi- That honey spy is helping you? He became serious. He said in angry voice- I told you to get rid of her. She is a honey spy. She probably is double crossing us. She might try to win your trust and then betray you terribly. When Avantika could betray me, anyone else in the world can.

Samgra remembered Vaishali wanting his love.

Samagra- You are right Prithvi but remember she is a princess and my wife. It's not easy to get rid of her. Besides she is really helping me. She has promised that she will help me.

Prithvi- Help you in what?

Samagra silent.

Prithvi- Listen Samagra, I don't want traitors in my palace. Keep check on her otherwise I will get rid of her. Understood.

Samagra nodded

Vasantmitra went to meet Avantika who wasn't talking to anyone and was like a depressed bust. Rupa asked her but she didn't say anything to her. Kanak was also sad that Avantika couldn't succeed in manipulating Prithvi.

Vasantmitra sat with Avantika who was sitting near window and was staring outside. She touched her hand.

Avantika saw Vasantmitra with soulless eyes.

Vasantmitra- Avantika, what's bothering you? Please tell me. I might be able to help you.

Avantika was silent and she again looked outside the window.

Vasantmitra had tears in her eyes- Avantika, please tell me.

Avantika- Why are you so bothered about me? Leave

Vasantmitra- I am bothered because you look depressed. Why are you like this? Listen ,you are our guest. If anything's bothering you, it's my duty to make you happy.

Avantika smiled and said- Did Prithvi tell you to say that? Has he given you responsibility to make me happy?

Vasantmitra- I am queen of this palace. I know you hate me but you are my guest.

Avantika was stern faced and she said- You want to help me right?

Vasantmitra- Yes

Avantika- Then get out of this palace never to return back.

Vasantmitra was shocked.

Avantika- You know what he said to me

Vasantmitra looked at her in shock.

Avantika told her everything what happened, she also added some lies to make it look like he was also manipulating Vasantmitra.

Avantika- He has asked me to take your permission, he wants to make me a beggar. This is how he is punishing me.

Vasantmitra- Do you really want Prithvi?

Avantika- Yes

Vasantmitra- Will you request me for it?

Avantika was shocked.....she said- I can do anything to make him love me.

Vasantmitra was sadly seeing her..- Then request me....

Avantika- Why? Will you say yes?

Vasantmitra- Try me

Avantika- Okay, Maharani, I want your permission to marry Maharaj Prithvisena, will you allow it?

Vasantmitra stared at Avantika with sad eyes....

Vasantmitra said- Yes, I allow you.

Avantika was hell shocked....

Vasantmitra- You just had to ask me....it wasn't a request, I would have allowed it. You have been childhood lovers. She had tears in her eyes. She touched Avantika's face. She said- You have always hated me but you are like a sister to me.

Avantika- Sister?

Vasantmitra-Yes, don't worry Didi, You will get your love.

Avantika was in tears and she hugged Vasantmitra. She started crying in Vasant's arms and cried for a while.

Vasantmitra wiped her tears

Avantika- I tried so many things to separate you two. I had planned to destroy your beauty only to be stopped by Lakha who still fancies you. Be very careful for him. I even tried to seduce Prithvi but I couldn't imagine his obsession for you. He doesn't love you, he madly loves you. It's scary actually.

Vasantmitra was listening to all this with shock and slight amusement.

Vasantmitra took her head in her arms and said- I know you made a mistake and that made Prithvi sad but don't worry you will be happy in your life.

Avantika hugged her back......

They talked with each other for a while....when Vasantmitra left Avantika felt peace in her heart. She thought- I thought of her beneath me, she is more graceful than me. She wiped her tears. I won't let Lakha hurt her.

Lakha- What?

Rupa- Yes, Rajkumari and Maharani have developed a friendship. Maharani has given permission for Rajkumari Avantika to get married to Maharaj.

Lakha- I never expected that. What a masterstroke by Vasantmitra, she eliminated her foremost enemy.

Rupa- I guess I have no work here, as she was about to leave he grabbed her neck and pinned her to the wall.

Lakha- You know too much .......he started evil laughing....

Rupa- Ah .....ah....

Lakha ran his finger on her face and said- Either join and serve me or I will kill you right here.

Rupa was scared

Lakha- Leave loyalty of Avantika and join me. I will free you from this life if I get Vasantmitra. He kissed her.

Rupa- I ..... will serve you Rajkumar.

Lakha evil laughed- Good, very good.

He told her to get dressed like Vasantmitra and she did....she was hell scared to see Lakha's insane behaviour.

Chapter 106

Prithvi when came to Vasantmitra he was shocked to know that she had given permission to him to marry Avantika.

Prithvi looked at her with angry eyes- You do understand what you promised her.

Vasantmitra with her eyes lowered- I....I know...

Prithvi- Am I your toy that you will gift your friends to play with.

Vasantmitra angry- Why are you blaming me? You told her to ask for permission and I gave it.

Prithvi- I said it because I thought you would blatantly deny it. Suppose if I had given permission to Lakha to marry you as well what would you do.

Vasantmitra- I would punch you in your stomach real hard and run away.

Prithvi- Exactly , I mean how could you even say yes.

Vasantmitra- Because, you are her love and you love her.

Prithvi smacked his head and said- I was an idiot who said that to Avantika. I never realised you could see me with someone else.

Vasantmitra grabbed his collar- I cannot, I cannot see you with anyone else.

Prithvi cupped her face- Then why?

Vasantmitra cried- Because I couldn't see her hurt and I remembered how much you loved her.

Prithvi-That's before I got my true love....he kissed her forehead.

Vasantmitra was crying.....she hugged him.

Vasantmitra- I can't bear to leave you Prithvi.

Prithvi- I won't let you leave me. Marrying Avantika is out of question. I am sending her back to Mahishmati.

Vasantmitra- please don't hurt her

Prithvi- Fine if you say so

Vasantmitra- Prithvi I want to meet my father, it's so bizzare I haven't got any letters from him.

Prithvi looked stunned

Prithvi- Letters? Oh yeah I got some.

Vasantmitra shocked- Then why didn't you give me.

Prithvi- oh those letters were nothing, he only asked about your health. We sent some letter informing him about your health and happiness.

Vasantmitra angry- Prithvi those letters were for me. It was personal. How could you write answers on my behalf. Don't I have any personal freedom here as a queen. Am I a slave.

Prithvi touched her face and said- My dear, now you are here you can never go back. Understood.

Vasantmitra was shocked- What do you mean?

Prithvi- I am your present, he sniffed her.......Forget your past...alright....he gave peck on her cheek and left the room.

Vasantmitra looked at him with shock and distress. She remembered Avantika telling her Prithvi said he has imprisoned her. The shocking realisation made her meet Samagra.

She went to meet Samagra secretly......

Chapter 107

Vasantmitra met Samagra in midnight in a room.

Vasantmitra told Samagra everything.

Vasantmitra- It's like I don't even know Prithvi anymore. Everyday I see another aspect of him. One day he's so loving and caring another day he is passively aggressive and threatening me. I don't know what to do.

Samagra- I....I knew this.

Vasantmitra shocked

Samagra- No one Prithvi more than me. We used to study together in Gurukul.

Vasantmitra- Tell me the whole truth Samagra. I wanna know.

Samagra- He's your husband, just forget about the past and care for the future.

Vasantmitra- No I wanna know.

Samagra- I tried to tell you with hints, I repeatedly told you to reconsider your decision but you weren't listening. You were blinded in love.

Vasantmitra- I don't understand

Samagra- Fine, I will tell you...

When we were kids, there used to be a kid who was son of a nobleman. Prithvi had a sword he was gifted by his father. He really loved it but was very possessive of it. When that kid snatched the sword to bully Prithvi, he.....he.... beat him up and threated to cut his hand. Everyone started fearing Prithvi.

Many incidents have happened since then. Vasudha, mother of his son was not a concubine initially. She was actually a poor girl near our school. She used to make delicious food and Prithvi regularly went to eat her food in disguise. She used to also bring food for him. They grew up as close friends.

Vasantmitra shocked- Friends?

Samagra- Yes

Vasudha was poor but very beautiful. They started liking each other. I won't call it love as both were teenagers. When Prithvi came back, two years after he went to her village. It was her wedding day. Before she could get married he took Vasudha away. Her parents were not in position to say anything. He gifted them money and many other things to compensate. Her groom was threatened so he remained silent.

Vasantmitra was shocked to know all the details.

Vasantmitra- But Vasudha loved him, right?

Samagra- I don't know that many details but just imagine, she lives in his Antahpura but can't meet her child. I don't know about Prithvi and Vasudha had no option other than to love him. It all happened when Avantika was already his love.

Vasantmitra's heart started aching with these details.

Vasantmitra- So who am I?

Samagra- The way he feels for you, I have never seen for anyone. He first fell for your skills, then your beauty, then he fell in love and now that love has taken form of Obsession mixed with possession. No one understands this that you are epitome of his possessive nature.

Vasantmitra looked very scared and worried.

Samagra- Just imagine, he hates your lineage, didn't find you worthy of being a concubine yet he ends up marrying you and also making you a queen. You must understand how he god damn manipulated you into entering his Antahpura.

Vasantmitra was shocked to her soul.

Samagra- Atleast he respects you ......I guess....

Vasantmitra- I ......I am furious Samagra.....her eyes turned red.......Am I a property to possess? What's difference between me and his other paramours then?

Samagra- I advice you Vasantmitra to calm your anger down. Avantika, Prarthana, Rajmata, Lakha , no one understands that Prithvi when desires something he wins by hook or crook. I wasn't in favour of Kamla marrying him but seems like I am always helpless.

Vasantmitra- Please tell me what should I do.

Samagra- If you make problems for him by throwing tantrums or leaving him, he might do something really crazy. For now go with the flow.

Vasantmitra- Can I request you something?

Samagra- Anything

Vasantmitra- I want to talk with Baba....can you arrange that.

Samagra- I will try....

Vasantmitra- You are god sent Samagra. You are truly a respectable man.

Samagra sadly smiled and she left.....

Samagra thought- I wish to see you happy and only happy.

When Vasantmitra entered her room she found Prithvi there.

Prithvi- Where were you?

Vasantmitra- I went to meet Samagra

He smiled- In such deep night, it's inappropriate.

Vasantmitra - I just wanted to talk about something. I am not afraid to admit that as I wasn't doing anything wrong.

He came towards her and kissed her forehead. He said- Glad you said the truth... because a guard told me that you secretly went to meet him. He showed a knife to her .....

Vasantmitra stern faced- you would kill me if I lied?

He snuffed her hair and said- No, I won't........but I don't think you wanna know. So what do you want to talk about? Whats the urgency?

Vasantmitra angry- I felt anxious after you confessed about hiding my letters. If you felt bad, next time I will take Prarthna or Avantika with me. Happy now? Or your jealousy will again send Samagra away or lock me up.

Prithvi- Why are you being so angry? I was just asking. Don't have I any right on you.

Vasantmitra- oh you have but seems like I don't have any.

He smiled and hugged her- My love, you are my life.

Vasantmitra thought- It's futile talking with him.....she hugged him back....

In Morning

Prithvi and Samagra were together

Prithvi- You are meeting my queen in deep nights. Have you lost any sense of decorum?

Samagra- She asked me and I didn't deny her.

Prithvi- You are my best friend and brother in law. I expect better from you Samagra.

Samagra- And I expect that you treat Maharani kindly. She was so anxious that she had to meet me. No one is her friend here.

Prithvi- What did you tell her?

Samagra- I have only advised her to not annoy you. Happy?

Prithvi- Samagra ,I am warning you, stay away from my wife and my relationship with her. It's my personal area. I don't interfere between you and Prarthna.

Samagra- If you like I will leave the palace right now. Is that what you want. He thought- Prithvi is only helping Virochana. No need of Vaishali here, kalah is automatically happening.

Prithvi came forward and said- I don't want any problems, anymore. Very soon Kamla and I will get married. Our alliance must not be hurt. Bhadradev can take advantage of it. Stay away from Vasantmitra and we will have no problems.

Samagra- As you wish. But deep down he was worried as he wanted to find about reason of Lachi's death and make relationship of Mahishmati and Meluha good again.

Prithvi- I really respect you Samagra, I don't want to loose your friendship.

Samagra- I have always prioritised our friendship Prithvi.

Prithvi smiled and hugged him- I am glad you two were so honest with me. I love honesty and loyalty. Loyalty is above anything for me, even love.
