No wonder they are so perfect for each other. She will never let her kids have their own lives or take their own decisions. Pakhi is a grown adult, this show is again showing the regressive mentality that women need to be controlled by their parents. No wonder her kids are immature man children, never able to deal with anything, being like kids, who cannot do anything without her.

She was defending Vanraj when he wanted to control Pakhis life saying parents always have a right to force kids, no matter how old the kids are because she carried her 9 months in her womb. Vanraj wants Pakhi to go to India against her will and Anupama supported him

Haan i was reading through the EDT. The clips and such.

Very good. Badhiya example hain.

So, adult, married kids, Pakhi, Paritosh ki Maa rahegi hamesa but legal minor Aadhya is only Anuj and Shruti's responsibility.

Seriously, yeh kaisa pyaar, lagaav, mamatha hain jo insaan ko apahij aur dependent banade.

The 5 years proved that nothing wrong will happen, the world aint stopping, everyone lived their life and had they not encountered her, it would have continued.

As for the characters like Kavya and Dimple, Kavya and Dimple are knowingly not taking control of their lives. Kinjal is also living with the consequences her decisions. She also got so many chances, her mother stood by her like a rock, it was her decision to stick to the hellhole.

She is... In fact, she is one step ahead in being regressive than Vanraj. Vanraj ka toh chalo character hi aisa hai. Vanraj is supposed to be the antagonist. But then isn't Anupamaa is supposed to be different?

I wonder if the only reason Dimpy is getting support from Anupamaa is because she is playing Damsel in Distress now, who needs Anupamaa for her emancipation. Since Dimpy lets Anupamaa play the hero who saves her, she is the "good girl".. Let us suppose Dimpy decides to fight her own battle, with "no support" from Maa and says she wants to marry Titu and she will also take her son with her, which ends up causing a lot of nasty fights between Vanraj, Baa and Dimpy. Will she still get the vociferous support from Anupamaa or from Kinjal and Kavya? Or she will become the "bad or innocent girl" who is not thinking about her son, about her own self, who is still very young enough to think about her good and bad and the one who needs ghar ke bade to guide and safeguard her from the evil eyes of the world ?? smiley29

And btw why does this Vanraj think that he can go and beat around anybody? It is so embarrassing that your father just barges into your meeting with a friend and starts threatening. Not only is this interfering in an adult child's life, but it is so detrimental to your child's life, as she will be devoid of any social circle of her own. Social circles, and friends are as important in life. No wonder Pakhi and Tosu barely have friends of their own, except the goon friends that Tosu has. I wish just like Bapujji, someone whom Vanraj has physically assaulted earlier, either files a complaint against him, or reminds him of his age by giving back to him in the same language he understands. Baalon mein gel lagane se aap 25 saal ke jawaan nahi ho jaate jo kisi ko bhi jaake thok do.. Imagine if Adhik, T2 or this Arush decide to show him his place..

Anupamaa might have not have gotten a say in her children's life because of Vanraj and Baa, but at least she should have tried to make her life better and lead by example. May be, may be she would have inspired a change, instead of giving Bhashan which no body takes seriously. Khokle bhashan and sir pe tapli maar k samjhana can anyway not do much after a certain age...

Thank you for saying this. Irrespective of the situation one is in, it is important to put effort in making the situation better. That is what leads to progress. As you state, children learn more from examples than from being told what do.

she doesn't anyone say a word, let alone control her life ... I sometimes feel Vanraj was controlling her, so she doesn't control him smiley14
