Krunal Pandya: I like to play situations, I am prepared that way, I am quite flexible, can bat anywhere from number 3 to number 7. Just want to go out there and contribute. I like to prepare, take cricket as an exam. Like to prepare, but the result is not in my hand. 199 is a good total, if we bowl smartly we can defend this. The surface has changed, much better than last year. Need to adapt to the conditions. Need to bowl accordingly and see how it goes.

199 is par with the pitch being very good for batting. LSG could have easily had 220+ though. KL and DDP threw it away at the start. QdK batted sensibly at the top but got to admire how LSG never took the foot off the pedal. Stoinis came in at No. 4 for a short intent-filled cameo and Pooran was always about intent. Took calculated risks to ensure the scoreboard was always moving. Badoni struggled and with Rabada getting Pooran with four odd overs to go it looked like PBKS could close this out very well but Krunal put on a brilliant display of finishing to give his bowlers a great chance. Curran used the cutters to great effect. Arshdeep got the key wickets of KL and QdK. Should dew not set in, LSG will really fancy their chances.
