Part 103

Next day some people came to take Helena and her friends away to the palace. They were shocked and after much convincing and assurance they went to the palace. Chandragupta was caught up with his work so he couldn't meet him, they were touring the palace and enjoyed the food. Her friend said, Helena it's such a beautiful palace. Helena said, I know mother used to tell me all about it. She wanted to enter a room, it's the same room she wanted to enter when she last visited...this time she was allowed easily because Shonottara was there to keep an eye on her.... Helena whistled and said, so big, it's such a beautiful and huge room, how did I make chaos here? She started swirling like a child and jumped on the bed. It's so soft, just like my bed. Shonottara was smiling seeing her childish antics....she lied on his bed and took a pillow, she said it's so soft.....and the she started jumping on it.... Shonottara said, Princess be careful....Helena laughed and then she jumped and lied on the bed again....does Sandrocottus really sleep here? Shonottara says, yes princess but now I think he will be sleeping in different room.she looked behind and was ashamed. She said silly Helena, again created chaos...let me fix it. Shonottara says, don't worry princess Maids will do it. Let us go. Helena said but..... Shonottara says let's go and she left.

Chandragupta came to his room in evening and as he wa told he saw the chaos and laughed. He said oh my princess , you did it again as he sat on the bed he smelled a strong rose scent, the similar scent of the painting, he was shocked...........he sighed and said, guard I will be sleeping on this bed...guard said but, Chandra said no arguments.....ekant.....guard left...he took the pillow and inhaled the scent......he felt absolutely ecstatic, in pleasure, he unknowingly took her name......and fell asleep on his bed as he was tired. Helena in different room asked when are we meeting Sandrocottus? She said, tomorrow my princess. Helena said fine, but after tomorrow I will leave the palace and stay in Sarai. Shonottara smiled.

Part 104

In early night, Chandragupta woke up, the scent was still haunting him. He wanted to meet Helena as soon as possible but didn't want to disturb her. Her presence had made him forget everything and he just wanted to meet her. He was inhaling a rose like it was oxygen. He moaned. Suddenly it started raining and he was watching it and thinking, my dear Durdhara would be also watching this rain and waiting for me ... suddenly he saw a girl dancing in the rain....all alone.....he was shocked...she had wore Yavana clothes and was dancing in very happily...she was jumping in rain....and spinning round ..Chandra quickly went to meet her without thinking, his guards were trying to catch up with his pace......he came down and he saw the girl was still dancing, he didn't allow his guards to come and when he went in the rain he saw the girl, she was spinning and when she saw someone was behind she stopped and they finally met....... Chandragupta and Helena met, thunderstorms became extremely intense...their whole bodies had become wet due to rain, they saw each other in ⚡ thunders.......they couldn't blink at all....their senses got lost and they started at each other for many minutes.... suddenly a massive thunder happened and she got scared and as she was about to run away he grabbed her hand........he asked who are you? She said Princess Helena.........he said......Helena, Ati Sundar (she didn't understand) ...in a very longing voice....he said Princess you must go back to your room ...I will send the maids for you....she said who are you? He said Chandragupta..she sighed and said, Sandrocottus, so handsome (she didn't know he understood her language) and he only smiled.....and she ran away..... suddenly he remembered something and he ran to his room. He quickly opened the box and saw the painting.....he said, no......No...he shouted NO................you are real.......he started crying , you are real.......Why? Why? And he became angry....he shouted, Nandini, what did you do.............he inhaled her scent and kissed the painting......he said, Nandini you made me what I was not......you cursed me...He shouted You cursed me.....now I am in pain, even worse than what you felt because eventually we were united but what will happen now.....he started crying........I.....I cannot bear this pain....he felt heartache.........and his eyes became red..........he again boxed up the painting......and changed his clothes.......he took rose perfume and spread it on himself........he said, I will bear this......she's my enemy .....I...I am not like your father Nandini, I am not.........he felt deep pain in his heart....she shouted ah......it's unbearable.........this is Pain of unfulfilled love.....

Next Morning

Helena caught cold and fever.....she changed herself into native clothes....she was being given medicines, Chandragupta came to see them...they all bowed while Helena was about to get up when he said sleep princess, it was bound to happen, why were you dancing in rain last night? Helena said, I wasn't able to sleep and I saw the rain so I wanted to have fun. He smiled and said seems you are very childish. Helena said nothing, she was looking absolutely gorgeous in white dress and diamond jewellery and he couldn't stop admiring her which was noticed by Achilles and Shonottara. Achilles said, Sire we shall take your leave. Chandragupta annoyed said, yes, you can all go. Achilles said let's go Helena. Chandragupta said, she won't go anywhere. Everyone was shocked. He said, I mean she is ill. Let her recover from fever. Helena said, Sire I can go. He said, no, otherwise your darling father who wants to attack us will say we willingly made you ill. Helena was shocked, father wants to attack you. Chandragupta said, oh I am surprised you don't know this. Helena thought, oh no, I am in enemy territory, in enemy's palace and the enemy is front of me. Now I doubt whether he will let me go or imprison me.. Chandragupta said, enjoy your stay here. Take her friends away....Helena said where are you taking them. He said, don't worry Princess, they will be fine. They were taken away. Helena said, oh no, father will be furious on mother but she didn't know this otherwise why would she let me come here. Damn you oracle, I bet you are a traitor, you sent me to my enemy. Chandragupta was walking outside to his court with tears in his eyes....he couldn't bear seeing Helena ill.

Part 105

Chandra was in his court. His Amatyas said, god has sent you your enemy's daughter in your palace. Let us use her against her own father. You must strike a deal in exchange of her. Chandra said he won't stop his attack even if we strike a deal, he will again attack. Let us keep her here with honour till a permanent resolution is made. Amatya said, so are you gonna imprison her? Chandra said, certainly not but we can't let us lose this opportunity against our enemy. Let's see what can we do of this situation. If she is of no use to us.....I....he sighed.....I will honourably send her back to her parents. Till then she is my guest here and should be treated as such. No dishonourable behaviour against her would be tolerated. He warned everyone with rage in his eyes. Everyone got frightened.

Helena in her room was very upset. She thought father would be furious. Seleucus slapped oracle and Apama's maid as he never slapped Apama. What idiots you all are. I brought you here to save you from Antigonus and you sent Helena in palace of Sandrocottus, he has made her a prisoner. Apama was shocked. She said it can't be true. Sandrocottus is not like this. He shouted, Shut up. I can't even imagine what horrible things my poor daughter would be facing. Meanwhile doctors were seeing Helena and she was eating fruits and drinking fresh juices. She still was upset that she couldn't go home. Suddenly a maid came, she said , princess , Samrat has invited you for a lunch with him. Helena said, lunch? Why? She said, do you agree? Helena was curious, she said I agree. She was taken to his room, she wore a red native dress and really beautiful jewellery, when she entered she was looking like an apsara and Chandra wasn't able to hide his admiration even if he wanted to. Helena was refusing any eye contact with him as she was frightened. She sat down and she was constantly looking down. Chandra said, I am not a demon. She said what? Chandra said, I don't look like a demon, you can see me and he smiled. Helena in nervousness said, oh no, you are very handsome. He was about to eat when suddenly he stopped. She realised what she said, I mean.....ah.....chandra laughed and said, don't worry, I understand. Have your meal. She started eating, most of the dishes she was eating for the first time. She liked the taste. She said a little spicy but I like the taste. He smiled. He said, so princess, why exactly you came here? She said, I was bored in Bactria so I wanted to have a change and also I wanted to give you something, he hurriedly asked what? She was startled, she showed him her finger, she said this ring, last time I came here I innocently took this ring. I felt terribly guilty so.....he started laughing...he said, you are so naive....... She started to remove the ring but he said stop, keep it with yourself. She said but...he said eat your food and she got scared. She was looking at his moustache and biceps, she thought, his biceps looks strong. Chandra noticed it and asked what are you staring at? She in nervousness said your biceps. He said what? She said your biceps are strong. You must be able to fight bulls. She was silent for a moment and Suddenly started laughing, he said bulls? Why would fight a bull? She said my father once saved Alexander from a bull and thats why our family wears bull helmet. He said, oh......and suddenly everything became awkward....her sweet smelling attar was taking a toll on his senses....he said....ah princess....I am done....so I am leaving she said no wait......he said why? Helena thought, oh god why I said that. Think of an excuse....she said how are my friends? Can I meet them? He said, well you can meet your friends but not that boy, for your safety. She said he's my friend. He shouted I said you cannot meet any boy.....and she got scared...he left.....She said, cruel.......he must hate me......she started crying.....Chandra was very upset...he thought, why is she here....I am unable to think in her presence........I am intoxicated with her.....god help me.....

Part 106

Durdhara and Nandini has organised a puja to remove the curse but the Puja got interrupted because of news of death of one of Nandini's relatives. Durdhara got scared, she thought, this curse would become stronger now. Oh god, please save my Chandra. Nandini was double upset. She thought, its all my fault, in process of giving him pain of unrequited love I sent his heart in hands of another woman. What a fool I was. She cried. Later they met Swarna amd her children who just arrived. Mura preferred to stay in her old home and she didn't want to stay in Antahpura. His uncle was still in Bactria trying to provide him news regarding Seleucus on ground level. They greeted Swarna. The children hugged Durdhara. They met Nandini also. Durdhara said, she is like your mother too. Priyadarshini said, she is like my mother? Why? Is she also married to my father? They all laughed, Nandini said, kids, so pure hearted. Durdhara said, wish we could go back to be kids again. Swarna smiled. Durdhara asked how is Chandra swarna? Swarna thought, should I tell her about that perfumed girl or not? They are already too upset. They might become worse. Durdhara has gone through so much, after so long she has been happy. I must not so anything to hurt her and Nandini. Besides this is only my thought. Things may not be as such. Durdhara said what happened Swarna? How is Chandra? Swarna said, he is fine. Don't worry. He can handle any attack. Durdhara said, my Chandra can handle anything. That yavan ruler will cry tears of blood. Swarna smiled as she knew Durdhara was trying to be territorial saying my Chandra. But she only smiled and thought, how naive you all are. The woman whom he actually belongs to has entered his life..... and now he's in deep pain. She had tears....oh chandra....how much suffering we must go through......

Part 107

Helena was crying in her room in night when guards told him about this. Chandra was distressed and he came to meet her despite it was almost deep night. He asked for permission to enter. Helena allowed. She was in her night dress and hair down but she was looking like an angel despite her eyes were swollen due to crying. He came to her and asked what's wrong? She got up and said like you don't understand what's wrong. I want to go back. She wiped her tears. He couldn't bear to see her like this. He wanted to hug her and what not but his decency stopped him. He said, princess you will go back don't worry. She said all are lies. Why don't you let me meet Achilles then? He said sadly, is he? Is he your lover? Helena said eww.... absolutely not...but he's my friend and his family is keeping Babylon safe for father. Chandra said don't worry. You won't be hurt. In this war either I will die or your father. In both conditions you won't be hurt. Don't worry. You will eventually reunite with your family. But I don't want father to die. Chandra smiled, obviously and when he was about to go she without thinking said but I also don't want you to die.....he got shocked....Helena didn't even realise what words came out of her mouth, she herself was shocked.....they stared at each other for a moment and suddenly a thunder happened and she got scared and unknowingly hugged him....he got shocked.....she was very scared....her scent made him numb..... He forgot everything in that moment and hugged her back.....he smelled her hair...and said Helena....in her ears.....she did not understand what happened and hugged him more tightly.......they were like lost in each other when suddenly she broke the hug......she was shocked at her own behaviour.........and he left without saying anything. She was parched...she took water in her glass and drank it.....she said, what just happened? She touched her throat and said....what is this I am feeling? It's so strange......Chandra came outside and was furious on this......is she here to honeytrap me or what? I must send her back no matter what. Enough of this.....he came to his room and took her painting....he again tried to tore it apart but he couldn't do it.......Chandra sat on his bed and was very upset. He thought, Nandini I will never forgive you.....he took a rose from his vase and kissed it........Helena in her room still was upset.....she said, what the hell did I do? What must he think of me? Hope he does not misunderstand me as a honey spy. Oh lord no. He might punish me for this. Stupid Helena, doing one wrong this after another........but why did I hug him? When he was leaving I wanted to stop him.....what is happening with me?

Part 108

Next morning Helena was walking in the garden with end friends and Chandra's guards. She was very upset due to last night and didn't know how to face Chandra. She at a distance saw Chandra talking to his female guards. One of them was Shonottara. He was talking with real familiarity with her. Helena clutched her fist like she wanted to punch Shonottara. In her own language she said, why the hell he is talking to her? Is she his concubine? They often stay together, I have seen this.. her friend said, why do you care? Helena said, I don't care.....she became angry watching this....when Chandra realised she was watching he grabbed Shonottara's waist ...just to tease Helena....now she was fuming in anger but couldn't express it. She walked towards them...but Chandra ignored her...this made her angry....he left with his guards. She thought, he is ignoring me because of last night....he definitely thinks I want to trap him, tears came in her eyes........she ran to her room...her friends were upset....and they ran behind her......

Seleucus sent a letter to Chandra threatening him of dire consequences if he didn't return his daughter. In return he said, surrender our occupied lands and we shall send your daughter honourably. Even without that we will keep her honourably but we won't send her unless everything is settled. This made Seleucus fume with anger......he said what does he think of himself. I will crush him......

Helena was in her room upset because Chandra was ignoring her.... meanwhile it wasn't easy for him too but he wanted to maintain a good distance as he was losing himself in her presence, both were longing for each other but couldn't meet each other... Suddenly Helena heard some footsteps, she became happy.....when she saw Achilles...she said Achilles? He said sssh....I have planned our escape.....come with me...Helena said escape?

Part 109

Achilles was caught before Helena could answer....Chandra was enraged at this and he started ignoring Helena more. It was hurting Helena who had fallen for him.

Next day it was a festival of colours ... Everyone was happy despite the clouds of war ....Helena was invited...she saw Chandra and he gave her look then looked back to Akshay whom he was talking to. Helena felt alone when suddenly she saw Shashank and she decided to tease Chandra. As she was walking towards Shashank she on purpose fell and Shashank caught her by waist suddenly. Seeing this Chandra became furious. He held the glass he was drinking from really tight....he hated any man even looking at Helena let alone touching her... Shashank said, are you alright Devi? She said, thanks I was about to fall. Chandra said to Shonottara something and she forcefully took Helena away. He drank real quick and left.....He came to the room where was Helena. She was in white clothes looking ravishingly beautiful. Chandra angrily said what was that? Helena said what? He said, you know what. Helena said, I don't understand sire. He came closer and said don't toy with me woman......her scent again made him loose his sense and this time he inhaled her in front of her....she was shocked.... Helena said, I did nothing... Chandra grabbed her hand and said why did you purposely fall on Shashank.....Helena smirked, I did it purposely, I didn't know that....Chandra smirked, he came closer and said one of my paramours is a Yavana princess, I know what games you play....Helena made a victorious face and she came closer.....did it effect you? He grabbed her neck and took her scent....and said what do you think? She touched his face.....she said, looks like you are trapped.....she smirked......he touched her lips and said you are mistaken, you are trapped here.....and they shared a passionate kiss for the first....time........both of them didn't want to break it but had to because they fell short of breath........he said, never do this again, you know i hate any man near you....Helena said in his ears, then don't ignore me.....he touched her chin and said, you are such a trap.....she laughed and they both again kissed which went on for minutes........

Seleucus in Bactria was getting ready for the war....Apama was anxious about Helena's safety.... Seleucus said this time either I am alive or Sandrocottus......he was full of rage.....in Babylon Achilles' family could hardly manange Antigonus...

Part 110

In mid night, Chandra couldn't sleep as he was constantly thinking about war. He was seeing the moon when suddenly a guard came. He said, Samrat, Yavana Kumari is here to see you. Chandra said at this hour? Send her in. She entered. Her hair were down and in native dress she looked absolutely beautiful. She said, you guards did a massive checking of me. He smiled and said, it's a norm, you are an enemy princess after all. She came closer to him and caressed his hair, do you really think me as an enemy? He smiled and pulled her closer....you really wanna know? She gave him a peck and said yes ....he went to his box and gave her , her painting ...she was shocked to see it. She said this is me? Who gave you this painting? He said, I guess destiny. I have been in love with this imaginary girl since I first beheld her....and he hugged her from behind giving her a kiss on her shoulder. Helena was shocked and she remembered all the talks oracle talked to her, all the hints she used to give her. She thought, is this my destiny? To be hopelessly in love with my enemy. She turned back and she had tears in her eyes. He asked what happened by cupping her face...she said, I don't want father and you to fight....he hugged her and said, I know my love, but the war is inevitable. She said let me talk to father I will make him understand. I will tell him I love you. He said no use, he will think I pressured you to say this. He sat on his bed and she sat next to him. She asked you have wives don't you? He said yes. She said, what's my place in your life? He said, I am hopelessly in love with you, you are intoxicating to me.....she said, but....but will you marry me? He smiled, I would do that immediately if the war wasn't looming around. I don't want to bound you and then make you sad if I die...she put her hands on his mouth, don't say that. I will ensure father don't kill you but if he is defeated, will you kill him? He said yes. She pleaded, please don't..I love him too much ... He smiled and said, I love you so much you loving your father is even making me jealous. But I won't promise you anything, these decisions are taken from mind not from heart. She said, I see. As she was about to leave he took her scent and sighed....she sat back. She asked, you really like my perfume.....he laughed and said, there was a time I hated roses, now my whole room is filled with roses just so that I can have your scent with me, my darling fragrant rose and he kissed her ..........she was still upset though....he hugged her and said don't be upset....and kissed her head......She said, marry me Samrat......He was shocked..........He said no way...your father will think I did to insult him. She came forward and said I don't want to live without you or father, I will die anyway. Cant you fulfil my wish. Chandra said, are you sure you are not a honey spy? She smiled...he laughed....well so far we don't have any evidences of you being a honey trap but I can't marry you. She said you love me so much but won't marry me, what type of love is this? He pulled her closer and said, it's maddening. She said then let's have a secret marriage then..he said, no if I will marry you I will do in front of everyone. I don't want to keep you as a secret.......She kissed him and said.....since I was a child oracle has been giving me hints...I always wanted to marry an Emperor and more so the one who will be madly in love with me and I got it, Marry me before the war.......she was teary eyed and said, please....he said, if you wish.....he grabbed her from the waist and the first time kissed her as his right.....she hugged him and he was smitten and drowned in her scent....a tear came from her eye....she saw her ring, if was poisoned diamond. She said , the day my love or my father died, I will lick this poison and die. I can't bear to see these two men die. She kissed his shoulders and then his neck. He said, don't do this..... please...and she stopped....She said, are you guilty? He said, I can't wait for our marriage....I have no guilts towards anyone, not anymore.....she smiled and said, what about your chief queen? I heard she is your beloved. He smiled.....and said all my wives have a long history with me. She is my childhood friend though. She said, a friend, nice .......what will be her reaction? He said, oh she's gonna blast....she laughed and your second wife....he said, she's the reason for our union. She said how? He told her all about Nandini. Helena remembers Dandayan calling her a curse. Helena laughed and said, these women are older than me but I find them silly. He laughed.....you will one heck of a time in Antahpura. She saw her diamond ring and thought I wish my love.

Part 111

Chandra talked to his Amatyas regarding the wedding and they rejected the idea. One said, Samrat the matter is too complicated. It's not good time to get married to a girl whose father is gonna attack you and desires to torture and kill you. Chandra with heavy heart agreed with them. He told his decision to Helena and she cried. She said, so now what? Will you be able to see me with someone else? He said, if you father dies I will marry you and if I die I won't be in this world to see that. Helena said, how will I live without you? Chandra cupped her face and said, you will live, old enough to be a grandma and he started crying.....she hugged him and thought, no Chandra, without you, I will not live. She hugged him tightly.

Durdhara was anxious as the war was nearing. Acharya got to know Chandra had daughter of Seleucus in his palace and he thought, of course Chandra had kept precautions but why he is still keeping his daughter in his palace? Why didn't he return her? What is going on? I must go there to see the situation myself. Chandra is not someone who can be honey trapped, he is well trained by me then why? There must be something which I don't know. When Swarna got to know this she thought, oh so this daughter of Seleucus is that perfumed girl. Chandra, please be careful. If she is truly Nandini's curse, you have fallen for your enemy and too madly in love. Please be careful. When Durdhara and Nandini got to know this they got shocked. Durdhara thought, a young beautiful princess? Alone with Chandra? No..... Chandra please, I don't want another co wife, not even for any alliance. Nandini thought, I hope my curse never comes true and this girl is just there as his guest but I heard she is extremely beautiful. Another letter came to Acharya which said that everyone in Taxila were talking about Chandra and Helena and how good they looked together. The rumours of their love were spreading. Acharya got shocked and he decided to leave for Taxila immediately.

Seleucus' army had started for their journey to the borders of Taxila.....Chandra was anxious of it .....in night, Helena again visited him... He said, you shouldn't come in night, rumours are spreading about us. She said, you only get time at this hour. I am unable to meet you in the day which you mostly spend with you Amatya and Generals. He smiled and said what is it? She came forward and said, I love you. Chandra smiled and said, what's new in this? She said, I surrender myself to you. Do whatever you want. She came very close to him. He laughed and inhaled her scent and said, you are still so childish. I have told you, I will take you only as a wife not as a concubine, no matter how much we desire each other, he took a heavy breath. Helena laughed and said, you are such a moralist. You told me Niadrus fell for you because of this. He said, Nandini not Niadrus. She smiled. She hugged him and said, anyone else would take this opportunity and use me but you are so nice and kind, I have never seen such a man before, he laughed and said, you are not very old yourself my dear, she smiled and said, I am falling in love with you even more now. Chandra patted her head and said, now go and get good sleep. She had tears in her eyes and left. He took a rose in his room which was filled with roses. He sighed and said, I Love You ........

As Helena was walking towards her room with her guards suddenly someone came from behind and killed the guards.....Helena was shocked she wanted to shout but someone put his hand on her mouth. He was Achilles, he pulled Helena in a different room and closed the door. Helena said, Achilles? How did you escape? Achilles had rage in his voice, he said you traitor. You are having fun with the king while your friends suffer. Your are betraying your own father and sleeping with Sandrocottus. Helena shouted, I am not.......I offered myself but he rejected me. He is that moralistic. Achilles tries to stab Helena but she shouted, no one was able to here her screams.... Helena shouted, Help, suddenly her dress tore apart....she was frightened.... Achilles smirked, he said...why kill you when I can have you? When he was about to touch Helena someone opened the door, there was rage and anger in Chandra's eyes...he shouted, how dare you....He gave a tight slap to Achilles....he took a whip and smacked him left, right and centre.....He gave that whip to Helena and said, you decide his punishment, she said I don't want to kill him because his family has done a lot for us.....Send him back, this pure palace doesn't need a filth like him....Zeus will punish him for his sins...Chandra shouted, Guards...send this filthy man our of my palace and my Empire. He tried to touch my queen....Helena shocked when he said his queen......Helena is mine and only mine, no one can touch her, his screams made Shashank come there..... Shashank was shocked to see the sight....Chandra cut his thumb and filled Helena's hairline. It was too dramatic....He shouted, she is my wife......... consider it as Gandharvan Vivah....he burned a table and said, Agni is sakshi of this marriage....Everyone was shocked, Shashank said, Chandra you are being unreasonable....Chandra's eyes were red ...it frightened even Helena......

Suddenly thunderstorms started happening, Durdhara fot shocked while she was in her own thoughts.....she came to the window and prayed, god please keep Chandra safe.

Chandra took hand of Helena and went away.....Shashank thought, Chandra you were never liked this, not even for Durdhara. What is happening to you?

Part 112

The news of Chandra and Helena's marriage spread like wildfire....it reached even ears of Seleucus who got shocked. He shouted on Apama, see what he did. Apama said, he wouldn't do it without consent of Helena. Seleucus said, he would have forced her. Apama said, he did send peace to you. Dear I say accept him as a family and end this enmity. Seleucus said, no way. The war will happen now. The matter is of my honour now. Apama said, but his letter says he and Helena are married now and he does not want to fight you. Seleucus said, whether Helena willingly married him or her forced her I don't care.....he was filled with anger. Apama thought, oh god father in law and son in law fighting and in this only my poor daughter will suffer. She remembered Oracle's words, Helena will marry his enemy. The news reached Magadha as well and everyone was shocked, more so Durdhara who was numb. Swarna said, Agramahishi, he must have done it for a purpose... Durdhara was extremely serious and said, Swarna I want Ekant...Swarna said, fine... Durdhara said forever....Swarna shocked, Durdhara please, don't say this. Let Chandra explain himself. Durdhara said, what to explain? He fell in love he married her. Swarna said, oh god Durdhara please. Think like an Agramahishi. Durdhara said Swarna I said I want Ekant.
