I don’t think they are shocked she knows English because they know that she is well educated. They are shocked that she used it and so bodily. Ani, because he expected Jhanak to cower and not go against Shristi and the same for Arshi and Shristi, but more so for them, it was also digging their grace, because they portrayed Jhanak as an uneducated maid who got lucky, and didn’t talk about how she is in the final year of college. So of course, her speaking English means so much more than them being shocked she can.

As for Ani, who is deceiving who. His whole being is already tied to Jhanak. Look at all the rich expressions of happiness when she is happy, of joy when she impressed him and thanks Choton, of appreciation of her values, of being touched at being appreciated, and being pained when she was trampled upon and crying on stage. Ani’s face went through all the stages of good emotions for Jhanak and his irritation and disgust at what Arshi and her gang did was clear. Honestly, if Ani is what we all know, he’s not going to keep quiet and will say something to Arshi and her gang about this. Ani, the great liar, knows what he can lie for. He cannot cover up those emotions he had when Arshi mentioned Urvashi on stage and debased Jhanak. So unless makers go crazy, I think we are going to love Ani for some time now. He will be confrontational, I just hope that it will be enough for him to let go of self-deceit and even if not the situation to accept his feelings for Jhanak, at least it is one to acknowledge he can’t even stand Arshi, and isn’t willing to tolerate her in his life. There is a difference between both sides, but it’s going to make such a big deal. At least, Ani should ask for a break for himself. And Arshi should kiss that break end goodbye…because by the time she asks the when of ‘when will the break be over?’, Ani is already teaching he and Jhanak’s fourth daughter about how any men named Rahul, Tejas, and Arnav, are bandits and must be reported to the police uncle. 🤣. Shubho and Bipasha are going to ask Ani when he married and had a kid with Jhanak and he will say ‘I don’t think I need to tell you that but respectfully, we have three more and another one of the way’ 🤣🤣🤣 and we would come with our questions and say ‘why did you have a family with Jhanak’ and Ani will say ‘for humanity’s sake and to save her from so he doesn’t kill her’ 🤣🤣🤣

I loved how they all were talking in Hindi mixed with English and she insulted them and Mimi indirectly by giving replies in such dignified and fluent English that they made fun of her for.

Ani is still fresh enough to recognize when she is in danger or when things are getting skewed for her but he choose hurtful solutions not because he is not intelligent enough to chose better, whole solutions, but because (as said many times here) he is emotionally compromised because those whole solutions involve letting Jhanak go and he doesn’t want that. So he is making reckless choices in summary, ‘the heat of passion’. It doesn’t help that Ani screams ‘me,myself and I’ innately - some of the bad Bose genes had to rub of him especially as their star child. He came out mostly good, luckily, but couldn’t escape all their badness. Tough luck. Unless makers are writing another story, there is no way Ani doesn’t know what’s happening. This is someone who is involved in office politics and who grew up in Bose household. Please, Ani being utilitarian is for a reason. He’s sharp enough to handle confrontation with the smallest injury to himself. He’s careful enough to know how to keep a good image to everyone and manipulate himself to the point that Jhanak tearing off his mask sends him into a tizzy because he has never been exposed. Such a man knows what’s happening and he’s probably wondering why Arshi is so classless with her manipulation. Must be thinking why she didn’t take his classes after so many years together. Is it only dancing you know? You couldn’t learn from me how to achieve my wrong tasks with a smile on my face and an angelic halo on my head. I’m ashamed of you, Arshi 🤣🤣

I can get the surprise on Ani and Arshi and Shristi’s face today for her speaking in English, they didn’t expect she will be so bold. But I can’t understand that dumb boses idea that English would be a problem for Jhanak. I think they are either being stupidly vapid to the point they forgot she is college educated or script writers forgot themselves she is and followed the usual trope of ‘mocking maid or less privileged role for not knowing how to speak English’. Maybe script writers made that logical gap and forgot this - or perhaps it was too tell us that Boses are to wrapped up in their vanity that they forgot speaking English wouldn’t be hard at all for Jhanak. Because Jhanak is a maid but she is not the usual maid. She is fully educated, save her exams.

Happy to see the forum in joyful mood today. Can we get a private conversation between Ani and Janak after this? Of course when everyone is sleep. Without any insults and a normal conversation between them. Also like everyone said, some male attention to Janak for Ani to wake up.

Paula Ji, I love the equation Ani and Jhanak have concerning his manipulative nature. Jhanak is like that one uncontrolled variable in his equation, and she often exceeds his expectations, and it makes it difficult to bring her his way. This can bring a good spice in their relationship. Considering his utilitarian nature, I wonder if his emotional compromise because of Jhanak will continue to force him to make reckless decisions in the foreseeable future denting his good-guy image and if he will be okay with that. Because, till now he has not been comfortable with the idea of leaving Jhanak to fend for herself in multiple instances and even expressed how tired he is of clarifying his position. Do you think it would be a point of conflict?

I feel this is a slope he has to climb to be a better partner for Jhanak, cuz he will be put in the crossfire multiple times after this, he probably will have to choose if Jhanak is more important or his image?

English is never a measure of knowledge and intelligence, and I don't like it when people propagate such nonsensical ideas. So many great scientists in India don't speak to the level of natives but they are still the greatest minds that contributed to India's development.

Yeah, you are probably right, they are so wrapped up in their asinine fantasy that they think oh, she's just a BA final year in a communal college. What will she speak? I wanted Bipasha to be there. Wonder if she can speak to the same extent Jhanak can!

Also i remembered Shubo the other day said casually , she is from Shristi family and so dancing is there in her blood .....ofcourse born talent .

Yeah, I badly want their past to shown now. I am missing the actress who played Jhanak's mom. She was so graceful.. and positive.
