Mooney and the Giants look a little shellshocked here, they can't quite believe how this one's slipped out of their grasp. That was an innings for the WPL archives from Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai had no business winning that from the position they were in but Kaur had other ideas. Chasing 191 to win, they got off to a decent start but things slowed down once Mathews was dismissed right after the powerplay. Nat Sciver-Brunt couldn't quite get going and the asking rate soared as Mumbai looked to consolidate.Yastika Bhatia perished for a very well made 49 as MI looked to step on the pedal. To put things into better context, Mumbai needed 72 off 30 deliveries and Harmanpreet Kaur made it happen with an absolute blitz. She was helped by some poor bowling from Gujarat and the ball kept sailing over the ropes faster than one could count. She finished unbeaten on 95 off 48 as Mumbai left Gujarat in the dust.

Beth Mooney: "In T20 you really have to bowl well in these wickets. 191 was a good score but not great after the start we had. We have got TK and Ash who bowled beautifully in the back end. Lot of positives to take away. Hema batted well, we are clicking as a batting perspective. Some good shots being played off good balls. We'll try to minimise the damage next time. Hema is a great character and hits the ball cleanly. Made my life easier."

Yastika Bhatia: Wicket gets a little slower and lower in the 2nd innings. I thought of playing as straight as possible, itโ€™s difficult to play across when it stays low. We discussed that it was a good platform weโ€™d made and we had to build on. It was a masterclass of bating from Harry-di (Harmanpreet Kaur), we really enjoyed it and canโ€™t be happier. We felt we need to always be at our best, the target was such. Harry-di just killed it. I really enjoyed today, like I said, more of playing straight and good cricketing shots.

It must be noted, Harmanpreet Kaur was put down by Litchfield at long-on when she was batting on 40. Looking back, that'll really sting for the Giants because they'd be on the winning side in all probability had that catch been taken.

Harmanpreet Kaur | MI captain and PoTM: It was a very big game for us, we had to win so that we wouldnโ€™t put any pressure on us (going forward). We knew we had a long batting order and we could get the job done. Definitely have an eye on finishing first to get into the final directly. Had a chat with Himanshu bhaiya about my batting and how I can improve, was thinking about staying there and looked for a big innings. They are experienced players and when youโ€™re chasing a big total, a lot of things are clear, like how much you need. We could then rotate the strike and take it as it came. We thought that we have a little break, have some water and see what message would come, we knew targeting the 19th over would be crucial.

What a fabulous game this! Giants knew they were 20-30 short at the halfway mark but their bowlers had the control in the chase. Till the last six overs when Harmanpreet happened and ensured Mumbai Indians secure their qualification for the playoffs. Two days of humdingers, and there's a potential one in the offing tomorrow - Delhi Capitals vs RCB.
