Akshara is the girl who never felt part of her own family. The girl who had practiced to hide her tears in spicy kachori bites and pain in her bright smiles. Akshara loved her step sister aarohi who used her as a punching bag. And project she needed to finish to any mess she had to get out of and Akshara quietly complied coz thats was the only way she knew to give love and accept love from her family. Being a orphan she felt obliged to compensate for the love from her grandparents and step mother. So she dedicated herself to family happiness n togetherness. And in doing so she sidelined her own desires, dreams and even ambitions for future were not strong enough for her. She wanted to work in an NGO.. and if that didn't happen she was still okay being home helping Mimi with pooja or Swarna in kitche. She would help someone who needed or wanted her help. To help someone made her feel happy and alive. Her family saw her as someone who had no major issues in life always happy, smiling dancing and so no one ever asked her if she needed help. Akshara had no idea that she could ask for help too just like she was ready to help others. She tried her best to stay on the edges away from family attention because Aarohi liked the ficus on herself. So even with family around Akshara grew up alone.
When Abhimanyu falls in love with Akshara he woos her off her feet. He loves her so intensely, so incessantly that she has no way to ignore him. The girl who was a bystander in her own life becomes the princess, the center of attention of this handsome, charming prince. Abhimanyu's singular attention, love care, Akshara starts to feel loved, revered and adored. But the heart remained frozen coz as she started to live this fake life she knew the punishment was hers, the happiness has turned to mourning, the insults were permanent scars on her frozen heart.... and so 6yrs passed.
When he turned up at her doorstep the scene took her breath. Looking at Abhimanyu, raw memories came flooding. The frozen heart ached and the pain was excruciating, still she played along and waited politely for him to be gone from her life. But that one sorry, that he uttered before he left was a hot hammer on her frozen heart and the cracks it created let out loud wails. She couldnt hold it anymore and she had to tell him that he was too late with too little. His sorry and he meant nothing to her. He had abandoned her at a time when she needed his love, support and respect the most. But he had snatched every last ounce of emotion from her. She refused to accept his apology or the baggage of repentance. She wanted to believe in her heart, he meant nothing to her. So she kept repeating like a chant, he was nobody, his feelings not her responsibility, she has her own family. She had Abhir and Nav the men in her life who loved her.
When she realized Abhinav knows everything she decided to come clean about her past. ABhimanyu was her past. But a significant part of that chapter was part of her present that she refused to accept. ABhir was her only her son. and she had given the fatherhood rights to Nav. She was adamant about it...
