Inada may have it's faults but it is still a functioning democracy with all it's  voices ranging from far right to far left creating cacophony.

No.We may have cried a lot during partition but what ever has happened we are moving on. So should Pakistan.

One has to look at the past because the past once was the present and shaped the future that now is our present. To understand the present you have to know the reasons that made your present the way it is. Knowing the reasons can help to influence the future in a positive way.

No, unfortunately, India is on the way to become a not-anymore-functioning democracy...and is it really favourable to cement a situation that wasn't a democratic choice but instigated by a foreign power und its rule long before (if one can't win over a united enemy, divide the enemy to make him weaker and then use the dividing to put the parts against each other to destroy the unity forever).

Do you even have an idea what a kind of superpower the Indian subcontinent could have become if no attempt of partition had succeeded???

On what basis are you claiming that India is on its way to not being a democracy anymore? Stop irresponsibly spreading baseless nonsense please.🙏🏻
About the partition, yes it could’ve been great if it never happened but it happened that too against the wishes of the majority and now what is the point of crying over spilled milk? India has moved on and is busy making its place in the world while the people who forcefully and willfully got separated couldn’t even keep one government for its full term since then, let alone having a functioning country.🤷🏻‍♂️

I have not watched the video and never will. Dhruv Rathee produced content is biased and devoid of research and he often poses his own opinions as facts. Please do not fall into this guy's trap. He has presented several erroneous details about a lot of topics. Look no further where he drew hilariously stupid parallels between feminism and black lives matter movement. Oh, don't forget his rant in favour All Lives Matter.

If India was not partitioned in 1947 it would have long become the world's most populous country and if acted sensibly then would have been in the economic position that China enjoys today and if would have acted irrationally then would have been bickering constantly like USSR.. either ways it would have always been a force to reckon with. India !! changing the world since time immemorial!

Not anymore? India was never a democracy. We have different laws for different religions. Secular word exist in constitution but in reality Indian constitution is not secular. It favors a particular community.

And when Citizens of a country do not have constitutional equality, country can’t be called democratic.

So you don’t have to worry about it’s becoming anything. It’s not a democracy to start with.

Possibility, it could have gone the Europe way. Like small countries in a sub-continent.

Democracy and secularism are two different things though.
