NYFCC is one of the oldest critic circle awards and one of the TRIFECTA. It's prestigious and known as one of the precursors. It's great for Rajamouli to win. Last year Jane Campion won and she went to win the Oscars. Hope the best for Rajamouli, though I didn't like RRR that much, but it has huge craze in west. 

Ab yeh sab kuch zyada hi ho raha hai 

NYFCC pulls wildcard wins all the time. But this is still huge. RRR would have certainly made it to the best foreign film category and had a solid shot at winning. What a stupid choice to not send it
