Thanks for recommending, may I know on which OTT platform they are available.

I'll second the recommendation for Prithviraj's Vasthavam. It's on Hotstar. Shows his transformation from a poor but nice Brahmin boy to one of the biggest political wheeler-dealers. The film doesn't hesitate  to show his caste prejudice (his experiences shaped his personality) and how he uses people like pawns and also ends up being used.

Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Driving License are on Prime. Akshay's Selfie is actually a remake of Driving License and is a very average film.

DRISHYAM 2

First half was tiresome. Second half was decent though.  One thing is constant in Bollywood that they are completely ignorant about the hierarchy and organisational structure of the police force and military.

Mastapaiki 1930s ke kuchh pichchar recommend karrela.... you can actually see cinema gradually evolving out from theater....

Bringing Up Baby - Kya pichchar hai bawa. Ek number! Maza aa jayenga... Main first time Katherine Hepburn ko dekha... Cary Grant ko apan pehle se jaantay... aur woh chhava hai ek number ka πŸ˜† Highly recommend.

By candlelight - Mast pikchar hai yaar. Ek Perk ya KitKat ke maafik. Lightweight comedy. Merko bhit mazaa aaya. β€οΈ

A night at the Opera - Ekdum timepass pichchar hai... Goofy slapstick comedy types... Fun watch...

It happened one night - Achhi pichchar hai. Yeh dekh ke bhot saare Hindi pichchar ki yaad aati hai... πŸ˜†

Merko nahin lagtay yeh type ke stories culturally hamaare naatak /local theater scene mein honga... so I'm imagining such Bollywood movies were inspired by cinema like this...

Thin Man series - Mazedaar series hai... Woh zamaane mein bhi sequels wagairah banaake franchise vinchaise banaate the apan log ke purvazz log πŸ€£

Red Headed woman - Whoa... Yeh interesting tha... kaafi grey character likhelay....

Murder - Mallika Sherawat wala nahin hai yeh dost πŸ˜›

Theek hai yaar... utna bhi khaas nahin... Lekin merko mazaa aaya... Climax is good... There is LGBT representation too!...

How to marry a millionaire (1953): Woh zamaane mein bhi chick flix hote the! πŸ˜² Decent watch hai..

Btw main Marilyn Monroe ko first time reel mein dekha..... what a anti climax - Lauren Bacall poora screen chabaa gayi aur Marilyn ko aaraamse overpower jar gayi ... kya beauty thi β˜ΊοΈ

She Man (1967): Sorry, what did you ask? Main yeh pichchar kyu dekha??

Your question is good question, but your question is hurt me... πŸ˜

Bh$$$$$d pataa nahin kya phhooonk ke baitha tha... Poora pichchar dekh gaya...

Third class picture hai. Vaahiyaat. C grade, without any of all that...

LGBTQ representation bhi hai... lekin merko samjha nahin ki progressive tha ki regressive.... Hmmm I'll actually go with the latter...

Mat dekhna... Koi bandook sar pe lagaaye toh goli kha lena pan yeh pichchar mat dekhna.. πŸ€’

Inke $$ ki $$$$t.

Nanpakal nerathu mayakam,

unni mukundan associates

very nice watch both, malayalam

the 1st is actually like a short story, but shot very creatively and open to interpretations,

the depiction of the village and characters is so natural, the filmaker has actually lived or knows villages well, unlike some movies which look like an urban upper class perception of what villages are.

only that it has lot of tamil movie references which non-natives may not get, but still worth watching, mamoothy of course acts well.

2nd one is really well written, a true grey-black character and his shenanigans to get to success, especially the way his thoughts are voiced, no diversions and just a focus on the story

also both especially the 1st have nothing offensive and family friendly watches
