Giving her a benefit of doubt she was in coma when Akshara's time of 24 hrs. ended though she herself wanted Abhimanyu to give Akshara time, if she didn't get proofs for Kairav's innocence, he "can" decide to part ways with her or after finding proofs of Kairav's innocence, he "can" reunite with her giving their relationship a second chance, going by mata's dialogues "ab toh aar ya paar" .
She has seen Abhimanyu suffering, his inability to sleep, his inability to find peace & him giving pain to himself in Akshara's absence but why couldn't she see the child Abhimanyu suffering seeing his parents fighting or his mother being in abusive relationship? The suffering because of her and Harshvardan's loveless toxic marriage? Abhimanyu has to see his mother bearing insults from his father because it was her choice to stay in that toxic relationship ignoring her Abhi's wellbeing or mental peace.
Manjiri didn't see Akshara's suffering or even if she heard about her sacrifice for Abhimanyu she doesn't have emotional maturity to understand the situation or what Akshara has to go through in 1 year probably she thinks Akshara didn't suffer as much or she hasn't seen Akshara facing repercussions of her actions. She hasn't seen Abhimanyu asking Akshara "what's your contribution in our relationship other than running away?" or "dafa ho jao" or "I don't ever want to see your face & hear your voice" Abhimanyu initiating divorce which all other Birlas except Manjiri mata witnessed. When she gain consciousness she has seen Abhira together resolving their issues that's what they implied for sake of her health.
When Manjiri asked Akshara to call her aunty as per so called reverse psychology that time she admitted she herself isn't happy being harsh to her children (Akshara & Abhimanyu) that's what she told Harshvardan. She wanted betterment for both of them. Till that time her motto was "mere donon bache khush rahain" though that time too bitter pill was for Akshara to swallow & not for Abhimanyu.
Now pendulum mata all of sudden want betterment for Abhimanyu and only Abhimanyu forgetting how Akshara always kept mother-daughter or MIL-DIL relationship separate from her equation with Abhimanyu. Akshara never let her affection for Manjiri get affected by her relationship with Abhimanyu. Even after insults and taunts by Birlas she helped Manjiri get better before and after gaining consciousness. Akshara sided with Majiri during Manjiri-Harshvardan divorce fiasco even going against Abhimanyu for her "maa" & for giving maa the choice to decide for her life.
She could see Abhimanyu's attempts to make amends with Akshara as she has seen Abhimanyu asking for forgiveness from bade papa but has she seen Abhimanyu calling press getting bade papa (unintentionally) and kairav (intentionally) in jail? She didn't witness what Goenkas/Akshara has to go through because of Abhimanyu's lack of trust in Akshara. Because of Mahima's planning & plotting with Arohi and Abhimanyu's promise to Mahima. She has only seen 100% of Abhimanyu's suffering but haven't witness even 10% of Akshara's suffering.
Now her poking nose in husband-wife matter when she never let Abhimanyu interfere between her and Harshvardan's relationship dynamics reflects her hypocrisy. Plus how can mata compare her toxic loveless marriage with Abhira's marriage of mutual love and respect? Harshvardan never loved her or was abusive. She cannot compare Akshara and Harshvardan's love. Why mata to me is more annoying than other negative characters? Because she is a chameleon. Her stance changes every second. She love Abhimanyu the most than keep it that way from the beginning. Don't ever claim that Akshara is like your daughter. Don't claim to even love/like/adore Akshara when her love is "conditioned" when she can only love Akshara if Akshara prioritize Abhimanyu above every single individual in her life. Didn't Abhimanyu also prioritize Manjiri over Akshara so many times? Its not wrong in prioritizing by choice but Akshara Abhimanyu Birla can never be Manjiri who let herself live in delusion harboring toxic relationship, Akshara's doubts regarding trust issues are valid when Abhira's relationship can improve working on communication and trust issues. Akshara definitely is more sensible than Manjiri who lived in abusive relationship for years. Why don't Manjiri think that her interference in Abhira's relationship can also be the cause of Abhimanyu's unhappiness?
Mahima is manipulative, calculative grey shaded character who will now turn completely negative by joining hands with Arohi obviously after being triggered by Anand & Arohi but she hasn't been a hypocrite or pendulum whose equation with Shefali changes as per convenience or as per Shefali's equation with Parth. If she herself want to be treated as an equal because of her contribution in Birla hospital, she doesn't expect Shefali to be less successful than Parth. She has always kept Shefali's successful profession and Parth's unsuccessful profession separate from each other. She never tried to use emotional atyachar or never emotionally blackmailed Shefali to create a balance between her career and personal life or to give Parth equal time as she give to her career. She always let Parth and Shefali handle their issues themselves even if given advise she never tried to surpass boundaries which Manjiri mata kept doing. Mahima never used words like "mere donon bache" for Shefali and Parth but always treated Shefali her daughter-in-law better than Manjiri treating Akshara her supposed daughter who on the drop of hat blamed Akshara for most of the things that went wrong in past.
The sacrifice ki devi Manjiri mata doesn't think Akshara's sacrifice for Abhimanyu was her way of prioritizing Abhimanyu over everyone but career oriented Mahima never meddled with choices made by her career oriented DIL though she has also seen Parth-Shefali's strained relationship.
