The two teams make their way out to the middle. The Indians gets into a huddle. Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan are the two South Africa openers strutting out.

Shyam: "It may look that the batting is thinner for India. But if you like at it properly, its a good move. There were just too many openers. Sundar is a much better middle order batsman, plus his economical bowling is an advantage, especially to this side which has leaked too many runs in the last game."

South Africa opt to bat

Siraj to de Kock, FOUR, de Kock starts with a boundary.

Siraj to de Kock, no run, loud appeal for LBW from Siraj but not given. The inswinger and de Kock gets forward to flick but misses, struck in line with leg-stump and easily missing leg. May well have pitched a fraction outside leg as well

"Feel for Tripathi who's been around the side for a couple months and still hasn't gotten a chance. India don't have any finisher in this side and Tripathi can get going from ball one so they should try him at number 5 or 6 next game."
