Topic: It is not on LSC Box Office or why it is a big flop.

I saw few clips of Times Now where debate was going on how LSC is a big failure, why ppl have not gone for a Aamir film, and if really Boycott calls on SM worked in big way.

In whole Discussion, few things came- 1. Aamir Khan hurted the Hindu ppl's sentiments in PK which came in 2014. 2. Aamir's Intollerant statement back then & now when he is regretting hurting ppl. 3. Aamir's statement about PM Modi when he was CM of Gujarat back in 2006, when his film Fanaa was banned in Gujarat.

Let's talk about PK - 2014 Film

Now when Film was made, no one from Team objected those scenes. When film was completed, it was sent to Censor Board, it was given censor certificate, no one objected from their whole team who saw the film & ok it for release. Film released on 19 Dec 2014, when BJP Govt. was in power, if film was so offensive, why they allowed it to keep screening it, so much that it became BIGGEST GROSSER of Hindi films?

Why is RAJ KUMAR HIRANI spared in all this? Why not even single person who is complaining about PK, Aamir has even question RKH that what he has made? He was Director, writer, even Screenplay writer, that scene he wrote, he directed. Why is he left on side & Aamir is picked up for PK?

RKH's Sanju came in 2018, has any Boycott campaign happened? No. Film Broke records at Box Office, huge Super Blockbuster status it achieved. Sanju is based on Sanjay Dutt's life, his criminal cases & all. Ranbir Kapoor played his character, no Khan did it, so film was spared from this kind of controversy.

If Aamir is so Anti-National, Anti-Hindu, how his film Dangal which came in 2016 is All Time Grosser, not just a hit, Biggest Grosser with 374 Cr Collection. Who watched that film? Ppl who made that film huge are also Anti-National, Anti-Hindu?

If PK is Anti-Hindu, how in the 1st place it got cleared from Censor Board? After 1st day of release, why wasn't it BANNED in India completely? We have seen BAN on films earlier, Bombay, Maachis, Bandit Queen, Black Friday. Why it was allowed to screen even after protest?

Why is Aamir being mercilessly trolled/shamed & whole other team of PK is spared? Why is Raju Hirani spared here? Why VVC is spared?

First thing first...u named the banned films and then said PK wasn't banned in 2014 with BJP govt in centre. And those banned films were released earlier. To be honest no film has been banned after 2014. So we can see when freedom of expression is allowed and when it wasn't.

PK was a hit..Aamir was the hero. Dangal was a hit. Again Aamir was the hero..and Aamir is a Muslim. So his religion is not the issue. RKR directed PK, RKR directed Sanju. Both hits..so his religion is also not n issue..neither Ranbir's. And Aamir is a Khan , Ranbir isn't.. so having Khan as a surname doesn't make any difference. Regarding controversy..both faced. Sanju faced a lot of backlash for glorifying Sanjay Dutt's life..there were discussions on IF too in case u missed.

So censor board or centre is not curbing anyone's right to freedom of expression..nor can anyone curb public's choice to watch or not.

Since ur post itself shows that Aamir has had hits even after the controversies.. he isn't a scapegoat..his surname has nothing to do with the fate LSC faced. 

And no one is trending boycottAamir..trend is to boycottLSC which includes those involved in the making.

Regarding Ban on Fanaa..Gujarat govt did not ban it..it was n unofficial ban..a call taken by multiplex owners. 

And in Aamir’s own words, Speaking to mediapersons here, he clarified that he has been personally targeted by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) not because he is a Muslim, but for his support to the Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) in their fight against raising the height of Sardar Sarovar dam.

Now this dam project has been very dear to Gujarat and it has solved the drought issue and water hardships faced by the state since decades..people were genuinely offended

And by the way, The Kashmir Files was boycotted by entire LeLi gang. Lot of members here were against the Kashmir files. So LeLi gang and their supporters can boycott a movie, it’s FOE. Kisi Aur ne kar diya toh typical victim card is out. 

Isme naya kya hai..yahi to pattern hai. Their motto is Hamara FOE is FOE, tumhara FOE intolerance..chalo phir dekh hi lo intolerance hota kya hai

Kashmir Files is a hit. Where has it been boycotted and who boycotted it? Or gave calls to boycott it except maybe Kashmiris who feared it will revive tensions in valley again?

Bollywood boycotted it..complete silence on its release from majority of them..whoever mentioned they also did it pretty late, that too when specifically asked by media.. and most answers were like "humne abhi dekhi nahi hai lekin logo ko pasand aa rahi hai..and it's success is good news for BW".

 some reviewers didn't even review it initially till they realized it's gonna be a surefire hit 

This is not called boycott. It is elitism. Bollywoodiyas mostly speak about releases of big stars, big production houses and A listers. Kashmir Files had no big producer or big A lister stars. Mithun was the only big name star in it.

No wonder A listers did not tweet about it or praise it and will likely not give it much in their bikau Filmfare awards either.

I don't know about Hindu phobic, but I think he said something in 2020 where he said he felt "unsafe" in India and probably wants to move out. He was heavily trolled for that, and rightfully so. Why should he feel unsafe? He is living his luxury life with a new wife every decade.

The trailer just didn't click. Aamir looks repetitive. He is a seasoned actor but now like all other khans he needs to revamp and bring something new for people to come to theaters to watch him. This generation who has access to OTT platforms and can watch anything are not ready to invest money on movies which doesn't interest them.

my husband wasnt even aware of whole gujarat controversy during Fanna times. A lot of common audience dont care bcoz they are not on social media. They just want their money's worth when they go watch a movie in a theater and spend their hard earned money. thats it!

Trailer of LSC was bad and they didnt find it appealing to go watch it, thats it and nothing else. no one is scapegoat here, they just dont want to accept that they made a bad film 😕

Everyone else is spared because they're Hindu... it's pretty obvious. The sad state India finds itself right now.
