Isn't it unprofessional behaviour? No doubt it looks like a total mess and they would have never signed it if they had known about the success of Aik sitam aur, or if they were offered after ASA, but once you take up something, at least bother to promote it.
am okay with actors not promoting something if they don't feel like it or not required to do per contract. it is more unprofessional when they ditch the project or publicly blackmouth and tell viewers not to watch. π
there was a regional movie where that happened -- the actor signed on but through the filming, he thought the character super problematic on his relationship with the female lead. however, he wasn't allowed to opt out or give suggestions to make the story a little better. so he publicly stated that it is a stupid movie as the hero is just demented. π€£ peopple were torn between giving him kudos for sticking to his moral conscience and being so unprofessional. π
