For me it's Kangana.

As others said Alia Bhatt Kapoor is the most cunning and shrewd. Kjo did shove her everywhere but her naive and dumb act made her endearing to the masses. Her whole persona is fake.

Once again, being shrewd and cunning is not a sin as long as you don't hurt someone else on purpose. Being dumb and naive is not a virtue.

Perhaps I didn’t follow Alia in her initial movies interviews where she acted dumb. So never found her innocent. I always found her cunning from the beginning because a person can’t be just some naive and dumb if they know they are deliberately given opportunities taken from others and being called Maryl Streep and Karan going around saying he auditioned thousands but in the end he only found Alia good. She was old enough to know what’s right and what’s wrong when her PR and Karan was doing all that for her. She is dumb with book knowledge and world events like most BW starts are. But she isn’t dumb when it comes to her own personal life, career and what she wants. Don’t know how many found her naive when it was obvious from the beginning.

She got great comeback chances as well, its another thing that her comeback films never worked.

But she never had any dearth of opportunities in her entire career right from 1997 till now despite as I said been a terrible terrible actress (except in Jodha Akbar when she was subtle)

Have you seen that women's face? She got plum projects in the 90s. You really think bollywood in the 90s cared abt good acting? .

Even before she become miss world she would get offers from big director's and producers like yash chopra. She is extremely good looking, she didn't need to play cheap tricks to get movies. They came to her.

If she was the most cunning and shrewd she would have never spoken out against salman, cuz everyone knows that man has underworld connections and could badly damage her career. And he did. She got kicked out off 5 films coz of him and ppl didn't wanna work with her anymore. He almost ruined her career. She got lucky to have gotten some international films that time and that helped her get back into bollywood.

And her acting is only cringe worthy in some films, she has done good work in HDDSC, Raincoat, Choker bali, Guru, Taal, Josh, Jodha akbar, Provoked, Jeans etc. Even your fav salman has done bad acting in many movies, does that mean he's a bad actor overall?

Plus, a good dancer

Just cuz a women does well for herself doesn't mean she's the most cunning and shrewd. Get it sheena? And

Based on the few interviews with her & the way she behaves during promotions (I couldn't force myself to watch a lot of this stuff because she's simply insufferable) I do think she's dumb as in: knows very little about the world, lacks emotional intelligence. And people who call her cunning and shrewd should remember she was never forced to really fight for her place in Bollywood because she already had and still has her godfather. Most of the time she didn't have to resort to tricks. Is she manipulative? Certainly. But let's not pretend she's some genius. She's had the "resources" her competitors could only dream of.

Agreed. No matter who the actress is, cunning is a very convenient word to label an ambitious actress. You do what you gotta do.
