I totally agree with you. Whenever Aryan remembers Imlie (as shown) it is the last fall from stairs and encounter before leaves that he gets as FB. Today he remembered PD visit. So he is basically brooding over the loss of Cheeku and he finds comfort in believing that Imli's negligence caused the loss. But his inner self knows that he is equally at fault in failing to protect cheeku. When you brood on some of your bad memories, you yourself starts believing that what the other person has done was a crime.
This is very common behaviour especially with children, and as we grow older, we learn to accept our own failures and accept the mistakes made by others and try to move on.
Currently Aryan is basically at a state of guilt-angry mode, trying to hate Imlie, expressing as he doesn't feel anything for her, later he will get into revenge mode in this track, but will end up falling in love with Imlie again. This is what I expect from Aryan in this track.
If you closely observe the beginning when Aryan was introduced, he was the similar as what he is now, except that he is now into self destructing mode (maybe this time he is more deeply hurt). He found comfort in believing that AKT caused Arvind accident, a part of him told him he himself could not protect his Jeeju, and was in guilt-revenge mode. They have always shown two FBs with Arvind, Aru-Arvind rakhi scene where Aru says he will always protect him and then car burning scene.
To me, Aryan's basic character remains the same. He behaves like an angry revengeful child, who doesn't want to believe in anything other than what he wants to believe himself.
To the contrary, Imlie's FB shows her first meeting, her marriage, her fall and last fight. Imli had become what Aryan was earlier. A kind of stone mode, with very less emotional expressions. She was earlier expressive (she cried, screamed, mourned and laughed her heart out all through), now she learned to hide her emotions inside and put a fake smile. But her eyes are empty even while she is smiling.
So Imlie 3.0 is much more calm, composed and less impulsive, to me. She did grow up in 5 years. And experience of single parenting a girl will definitely make you grow up.
I hope story will be interesting further and with FK and STK we get lot of ever best scenes

Yaar sach batau I can understand him. 5 years back when he lashed at Imlie, he was emotional and broken and venting
And what happens is that over the period of them, You conjure worst about that person, you make your own assumptions and presumptions, you over-analyse your fight and start defending your own stand.
Now in Aryans flashback he not only remembers what he said but he also remembers what Imlie said. Even she accused him for the MC and called him a stone-heart, she said how can we live together. So even aryan feels that he was accused for the death of his own child
Right now he is in his own presumptions which will start clearly up when Arylie will meet.
That's why it's said it's better to resolve the fight at the earliest as the longer it remains unresolved, the uglier it gets
so yes I can understand him
