Actions Speak Louder Than Words

The way Ram spoke to Nandini after finding out about the blackmail made me realize something- Ram actually practices the principles that Priya claims to have. Priya is supposed to be a person who does not hesitate to punish someone for being wrong, even if it is family, but the only person she has ever done that with is her father. In hindsight, it seems like she was willing to do that to him because of her personal dislike of him and not because of her “usools”. If it was her values it would have been consistent with everyone, even the people she loves, including her nephew. Ram’s mistake is that he trusts people blindly but when he does find out the truth, he does not play around. He has actually confronted Shubu and gotten angry with him multiple times. He told off Vedika when he found out she was plotting about the kangan. And this time he even lectured Mommy dearest about right and wrong. It’s interesting because these were supposed to be Priya’s traits. It’s easy to send the dad you always hated to prison. What about the hard choices? What about risking your sister hating you forever but telling the truth that her son killed someone? I really would have liked to see a Priya who chooses the truth above all else.
