BW is a mess right now. And the worst part is they are not willing to accept it. They want to live in their bubble and that's going to be their downfall.
In KWK karan openly says he doesn't care about the nepo trolling now, it's become his brand/image whatever. And that thinking right there is what's taking everyone down. These starkids and kjo type people are taking the audience for granted. Alia, Jhanvi, kjo openly laughing at audience and acting all high mighty is the problem. You cant make fun of the people that have brought you to where you are right now.
I just found out that apparently this big fashion stylist is also ayan mukherji cousin. Ayan who himself is a nepo product. So basically sab bhai, behen, father, godfather, cousins mil ke movies bana rahe hai. And not giving a shit if the person is talented or even capable. Karan Malhotra has given a dud like brother but he still got a high budget movie to director. Tell me if a outsider director would've been given that chance.
Alia and rk have zero chemistry onscreen but did the makers care!? Was a screen test even done for them, I doubt it. They were industry faves so they were casted. RK has many times proven he isn't capable of doing larger then life roles but he still gets back to back big roles even after huge duds. While the industry people are ready with pitch forks to bring down the people they dislike.
BW isnt going to bounce back unless they stop playing favourites and actually make movies with people that are capable/creative/smart. Plus them trying to urbanize/be woke isn't going to work for every movie. They're trying(failing) to be progressive but people will always choose ott emotional drama over bland logic. The half baked "progressive" ideas won't work if it doesn't have a strong emotional foundation. You need strong writers for that to work and it doesn't look like BW has good writers.
Time for them to really think about what they are doing and start reinventing themselves and for love of God stop hiring people just because they are your friends or relatives.
