I am 100% sure, just like Gangu. They are inflating the figures. The opening is probbaly in the 4-5 crore range....but ofcourse the Bhatt/Kapoor/Dharma gang are throwing in extra cash trying to make it 12 crore now🤣
How can a movie with so much buzz like BB2 open at 14cr, and this dud opens at 12? Who are they trying to fool?
Even if its still 12, that's still too low for Superstar of the New Generatio Mr. Alia Bhatt, second to Amitabh only.

Shamshera saw a low opening day of around 10 crore nett in Hindi and could not make any momentum through the day as collections looked to be heading to roughly this mark in the morning. The number is dissapointing as its a big film and it becomes a very tough road ahead with an initial like this.
There are mass pockets where the film has done better but it hardly makes a difference if some areas have managed average occupancy as a film like this needs good occupancy all over. It is another film which has not collected well in Mumbai circuit as there will not be much difference in the Mumbai and Delhi / UP numbers when they come in the morning.
Delhi / UP will come out comparatively the best performing circuit but that again is comparatively and the circuit will not be good as only some centres have done average business. The opening day numbers of this film will reverberate around the industry tomorrow and its going to bring down expecations of the releases due for a release over the next few months.
The film is the second widest release post pandemic after KGF 2 with over 4000 screens in Hindi and an opening was a must as upside over the weekend is limited with such a release. The film needed to reach 20 crore nett plus on Sunday but that will be pretty much impossible from here.

That was the saddest BOI write up I have ever seen. I guess this is what happens when your bias takes the forefront and you basically become a PR editorial. You get stuck and can’t even give an actual opening day numbers.
BOI isn't even hiding their bias, they have been called out about it and they dont care, they have stars they work for and hype and the stars they dont work for are bashed and made to look like losers no matter what the box office of their film is
This is the ugly side of the industry, its about who you pay and who works for you
