"all these concepts of feminism are fake. they are all lies! because no woman can be happy without her husband. not just a woman, no human can be happy without love.
love is something which we get after losing ourselves. hence, all of us are incomplete without love...." -- malini
some totally interesting dialogues there with malini's re-entry!!!! malini's fury encapsulated some very interesting ideas and thoughts. what exactly do the concepts of feminism advocate? (at least according to malini), it seems to suggest that a woman can be happy on her own. however, malini counters that no human can be happy without love.
Q1. is feminism only for the single woman? can people be happy on their own if they don't have love? can you only be complete if you have love?
how does she define this feeling of love -- that you have to lose yourself in order to gain love. so what did she lose? her sense of self, her sense of honesty, her sense of belief in people -- she lost it all while trying to get aditya and still she lost him. I liked the use of flashbacks and we get to see imlie from malini's perspective -- as someone arrogant who taunted her and pressed down on her in order to get the object of her affection.
Q2. does falling in love mean a loss of self? how does one get back a sense of self after a relationship ends? where do you find yourself?
in the college scene where she yells at the young wannabe student, we can see how much she has transferred feelings of frustration to anyone who resembles imlie. she now sees anyone simple as devious and hiding an agenda. she sees them as using a sympathy card on purpose to manipulate and their way. she sees rural people as those who dream big and squash the dreams of others.
Q3. when people hate for no apparent reason, then are we stand ins for some trauma? some person they cannot yell at in life? has that happened to you?
how does one recover from such bitterness where your entire vision of the beauty of life has been wiped out? where you distrust good qualities because you see such people as manipulative? where you feel that the only way to regain your sense of self is to slay the person who stole it from you? malini's track can be interesting if the CVs put their mind to it -- but am going to keep my expectations really low after they did such a bad job with the last few arcs.
P.S -- other than that, can I just say how amazing malini's wardrobe is? waaah, such great choice of saris! πtotal contrast to imlie who still looks she is stealing saris from some strange person's wardrobe (utter borefest I tell you!)
that said, am not excited about this news of this kid being cast. I don't mind some toothless baby but a kid -- nah. π€¦ arylie scenes were not entertaining and a bit of a borefest to be honest. I skipped over all of them. π€·
and I was cringing over arylie bringing the baby home π²π€’π³β’οΈπ€¦ -- don't the CVs listen to public service announcements at all????? πππ I don't know how often I have heard on radio and seen on news -- you are not supposed to just randomly take abandoned babies home. instead, they encourage you to report the baby to the police station and inform child services -- the reason is sometimes the baby can be a victim of some other crime like trafficking or murder (of parens) etc. it is up to the police to determine where the baby came from and whether the baby is eligible for adoption. it can lead to legal problems for people to just take random babies home. both imlie and aryan are supposed to educated and well-off -- why show such nonsense???? πππ
