I'm being nice to all the newbies to this game. Then I'll hit them hard in the next season. 😈

Me came here at 12.30 to recheck my answers once, then realised that me is feeling too much confident which shouldn't be happening in a Shreya game, and now me is pulling my hair out trying to find mistakes in my reasonings bcz something is surely wrong

In short, me is going crazy 🤣

And yes, me doesn't trust this Shreya either 🤪 but it's not like me has ever trusted any of her versions before, so I'm not too concerned about that 🤣

What's a Brooklyn Nine Nine game without a round on detective-giri? That's right! This round you all have to be detectives!

Below you will find 10 short cases. Solve them and tell me the answer. Simple. PM me the answer by July 19th 1 AM IST. For each right answer you will get 10 points. For each blank answer you will lose 5 points. No points deducted for wrong answers.

  1. Soni and Bee went out for drinks together. They ordered the same drink. Bee was really thirsty and finished 5 drinks in the same time it took Soni to finish 1. The drinks were poisoned, but only Soni died. How?
  2. A dead female lies at the bottom of a multistorey building. It looks as if she committed suicide by jumping from one of the floors. When the detective arrives, he goes to the first floor of the building, opens the window, and flips a coin out the window. He goes to the second floor and repeats this. He goes to the third floor and repeats the process. He continues through the remaining 5 floors. Then he comes back downstairs and declares this a murder. How?
  3. A Japanese ship was leaving the port and on its way to the open sea. The captain went to oil some parts of the ship and left his gold ring on the table next to his bunk so it wouldn’t get damaged. When he returned, it was missing and he suspected 3 crew members. The cook said, “I was in the kitchen preparing tonight’s dinner.” The engineer said, “I was in the engine room ensuring that the ship was up to its full speed.” The seaman said, “I was on the mast correcting the flag as someone hung it upside down.” The captain immediately knew who was guilty. Who was it and how did the captain know?
  4. It’s day 1 of school and the history teacher is found murdered in her classroom just before class. The detective suspects 4 people: the landscaper, the math teacher, the basketball coach, and the principal. Each of the suspects give their alibis. The landscaper claims he was outside mowing the lawn. The math teacher claims that he was preparing a mid-year test in the staff room. The principal claims that she was in her office just after making morning announcements. The basketball coach says he was preparing for practice drills for his players. The detective immediately arrests the murderer. Who was the murderer and how did the detective know?
  5. Aisha kidnaps 5 people one-by-one and sits them down. After talking with them she gives them the option of taking 1 of 2 pills with water. One of the pills is poisonous and the other is harmless. Both look and feel exactly the same. There is no difference in any way. Aisha will eat whichever pill remains. Every victim somehow chooses the poisonous pill and dies. How does this happen?
  6. A man was found on the floor dead with a tape recorder in one hand and a gun in the other hand. When the police arrive on the scene, they press play on the tape recorder and the man says, “I have nothing else to live for. I can’t go on,” followed by a gunshot. The police immediately conclude this is a murder, not a suicide. How?
  7. A couple went to Switzerland for their honeymoon. Unfortunately, the husband returned home alone because his wife died after falling into Lake Geneva. The police contact the travel agent who tells them something that makes them go out and arrest the husband for murder immediately. What did the travel agent say?
  8. Accused of murder, a man is arrested and thrown in jail. His cell has a dirt floor and only one window that is too high to access. The policemen have forgotten a shovel in his cell, but the dirt floor has rock underneath it. The man has 2 days before he will be hung to prove his innocence, but he needs to get out to prove his innocence. How can he get out?
  9. Vedika goes to the police and writes a report of a break-and-enter in her house. When the police arrive to investigate, they find that the bedroom window is broken and there are muddy footprints all over the bedroom floor, but otherwise the room is clean. The police turn around and arrest Vedika for fraud. Why?
  10. Shreya, a health inspector, goes undercover to a local restaurant and orders soup. When her soup arrives, she takes a few sips before she finds hair in it, and she returns it angrily. A few minutes later, she is given the same bowl of soup again (just in a new bowl). How did she know it was the same bowl of soup?
