Absolutely agree with you.

I have mentioned this on a few occasions. There is creativity, there is imagination then there is mindset. Repeated portrayal of regressive content, misogyny, suppression of woman and their freedom and rights only represents a disgusting mentality. A belief in all these filth and more. These are those hypocrites (In Malayalam we call them Pakalmaanyan - Pakal means day and Maanyan - gentleman). They just wear the garb of being educated open minded people. But in reality thrive on suppressing woman and making them suffer and are abusive, narrow minded people. They believe woman do not deserve the rights given to them as per law. They secretly deny and defy any law or logic and the fact that women are equals. So this is their way of salivating and deriving sadistic pleasure by creating AU where all that happens. SICK mindset!

Yup! Keeping hopes low. But sometimes it is not the outcome, but doing our bit that gives the satisfaction. Whether it’s venting out, calling out the wrong it needs to be done. The relief that I didn’t let it slide by without addressing the wrong.

And then there are actors who claim to have never watched their own show. No further explanations required🤦‍♀️

Also mention episode 546. Here an IPS officer openly confesses to his wife that he has no qualms about letting his widow SIL (who has never given birth or even conceived) become the surrogate mother. His reasoning is that it will be convenient and they will be around the SIL all the time unlike a case where a stranger becoming the surrogate mother. He has clearly overlooked the legal aspect and willing to go ahead with it if his wife gives her consent. An open display of disrespect and non-adherence of law by an IPS

Don't know how but this complaints may work, guys don't get disappoint, found this on twitter!!!

Its not about a stupid show only. It's about the kind of content we deserve vs what we are getting. Its about taking a stand and speaking out against a misogynistic , toxic, negative plot over n over again in the name of "drama quotient" . We have all consumed good content, mainstream tv soaps, and been exposed to good tv drama to know that this kind of narrative repeatedly is unacceptable.

One approach is - oh why complain, just ignore and move on to turkish, korean , Pakistani, ott shows or just watch standup specials, singing/dancing ahows, cookery shows , etc etc. And yes thats one solution.

But that doesn't mean we stop simultaneously asking for better content from our regional/ national tv.

Majority india speaks/understands hindi and starplus is a popular "entertainment" channel. So how is it ok that the quality of content on their channel is SO substandard. Why should we not demand better hindi tv shows for our consumption?!

Why should we not expect accountability and respect towards audience.

I relate much more to a hindi tv show than I ever would to a turkish, korean show. Yes human stories/emotions are beyond language/race barriers but there is a certain comfort and familiarity in watching shows about people that we see around us in a language we understand. Nothing can beat that. For me No high quality English or foreign language tv show or movie will ever beat the comfort of watching a hindi/hinglish content and it deeply pains, upsets and frustrates me when I am unable to watch the content I desire on itv.

Here are the shows I chanced upon at various stages apart from ghkkpm. Mostly all of them i came across midway at what I thought was an interesting juncture in the show which caught my attention.

1. Meet- on paper great story. Tomboy girl, supportive husband. But now what is going on. Husband cheats on her apparently in drunken haze, wife is asked to leave by MIL because theres a plot to lie that the baby died and now suddenly husband blames wife for everything and MIL who was inhumane is acting as if she loves her bahu. And they are showing some new avatar of the FL in girlish clothes and new accent. All the novelty gone.

2. Bhagya lakshmi- i caught it when it looked like cheated wife would take a stand be independent but now reduced to cheated wife is being superstitious, mahaan and everyone badmouthing her and ML is the most confused soul. Cant decide WTF he wants.

3. Kashibai- another period drama bit ultimately its about infidelity.

4. Balh2- on paper awesome story about a mature couple who find true love after heartbreak.but now theres only MU, separation, 3rd angles, nonsense.

5. Woh toh hai albela- looks promising in terms of the jodi. But matter of time before scheming MIL creates MU and show is ruined.

6. Mose chhal kije na- looked like cheated wife would succeed in defeating all odds but in the recent episode shes successfully proved mentally unstable and loses custody of her children.

So basically every show I have come across seems like it'll offer something different and ends up being BS or too negative

Thats the state of ITV. Waah.

As expected its a BS response and BS verdict in the case of YHC as well.

I have no expectations of any concrete change to our complaints also.they will easily get away with the justification that they did say that such kind of surrogacy is illegal and they took cinematic liberty to show someone fool the system and to wait to see what happens etc etc

We will get BS response. All these regulatory bodies are useless.

But I just want the channel to force the makers to respond to the complaints.

Atleast they should know that audience isnt just there to take whatever BS is served.

And we get the satisfaction of raising our voice, venting our anger.
