It depends on personal choice to address hubby all the time. In olden days it's always aap and necer used to take out name of hubby as it would reduce his life time as told elders at home. So when a wife has to address hubby there are many ways to tell them instead of saying his name inko woh pasand nahi hi ,unko , unhe ,inhe etc .and that aaji sunte ho for calling him when they are together or with all. Times have changed and peoples mindset too.my parents are strict so told not to address hubby with name though my inlaws and hubby are modern. In his family his elder brother calls his biwi as aap and she calls him aap because he wants to give her respect that way. It's their understanding and we are hum and tum. My devar and wife call as tum tum . πŸ˜‚ I have you three different examples na.

I am aware of the practice- my grandma did tell me not to call my husband tum.

But I can’t flip - so unless it’s a very very traditional elderly in-law person I don’t even make an attempt to refer in the Third person as β€œunhe” etc. Even then I struggle. πŸ˜‚ so I simply talk in English - no need to give respect to anyone in English. πŸ˜‚

English is safe. Regional languages are particular and we will be caught easily.

So Abhi wasn’t expecting Akshara to come home yet, before he left for the hospital, he made sure Neel escorted her back to Goenka House like they were still single and dating ❀️ - just an observation. The guy knows he has to go get her back once they made up.

So what did you think of Akshara referring to Abhi as β€œunhe” - the pronoun with respect? She has new respect for her husband now?

I think the "unhe" was not required.. and definitely weird.. I would love abhimanyu taking her back to Birlas.. that would be beautiful
