Gul Khan Male Leads

So I have started watching Imlie recently and most people had recommended watching from episode 310 when Aryan entered the show. Aryan as a male lead I feel has a lot of similarities to other male leads from Gul's shows and differences too. I kinda find him similar to Arnav Singh Raizada from IPKKND, especially at the surface level when we first meet both characters. If anyone has watched IPKKND then they know that Arnav and Aryan do have certain similarities. There are differences too, Arnav tbh manhandled Khushi too much since the beginning. I still the remember the scene where he was telling Khushi that he can do a lot more than just a kiss since Khushi is his legally wedded wife. When she didn't want it. I hated that scene. Arnav had too many problematic scenes like that.Aryan does not manhandle Imlie, not the way Arnav did. Aryan's support and believe in Imlie is far better than Arnav's. I still find it hard when people refer to Aryan as ASR though cause that was literally what Arnav was called throughout IPKKND.

I watched IPKKND, liked arnav but he manhandled her many times like you said even as wife..he had money ego and it took long time to see Khushi as his equal even though he loved her. Here Aryan far better than arnav.

Aryan is more feminist. Imlie is his employee, partner, friend and wife.

Aryan is somewhat similar to Maan Singh Khurana.. where he helps Geet to fight against right and wrong.. thus Geet sends her own brother to jail.. same way as Imlie Geet had a failed marriage. She was pregnant and that to with male leads's brother. Maan's entry was also at the later part of the story.. i mean not after 300 episodes.. here it was much sooner..

Like Imlie Geet also stayed with Maan in his house..

His anger was three i guess times when she her pregnancy was revealed.. and then an MU when she came to know Dev is Maan's brother, and a MU after MC..

There was Memory loss also..

Aryan as a character is deconstruct of all romantic heros.When you see him for first time, you thinks he is like any other gul hero but as the story progress you realise how different he is..

Like.barun's Arnav opened gates for toxic anti- hero, Fahmaan's aryan corrects all the wrongs in conventional.romantic heros.

He has his trauma, he has his issues but he never displaces his anger on anyone especially his love interest.
