Mainstream Indian cinema in its entirety is regressive. Of course there are a few exceptions here and there and but they're there for every industry.

I think that's generalising.My sister moved to US after marriage but she and her husband have very few Indian origin leave alone South Indians among their circle. The only South Indians they get together with are relatives.Their circle is almost completely made up of Caucasians.

Having said that it's true that Indians don't mingle with others that much that applies not just for South Indians.

Good to see the list of Indian stars becoming more and more inclusive. I am waiting for the day when actors from North East also making it to the top.

Southern Actresses are mostly northern imports with the exception of Samantha and Nayantara .. both of them are average looking IMO .. Anushka sherry aka sweety looks divine though

Yeah yeah it definitely does come down to taste...but dont bring NI Vs SI into this...Coz even some Northie friends thought Tovina or Mahesh were far better looking than likes of Arjun Kapoor😆..I knew this export thing would come up..FYI none of the girls I mentioned are from North minus Tamannah...Again good to know there are straight guys who find Alia better than beautiful ladies like Trisha or Samantha or Nayans...again no accountance for taste

There is nothing like us North Indians vs "them" South Indians....In our college gang we had Punjabis & Mallus getting on like a house on fire while they had many bitter arguments with some Bengali girls..So noone is a frog in well..Sometimes Biharis befriend Tamilians..sometimes they befriend Gujjus..Its all about humanity and emotional bonds..neither religion matters nor regions
