Bollywood makes 100s of movies per year and indian film industry as a whole makes the most amount of movies per year in the world. obviously only a very few movies will be a hit. Not every single Telugu movie is doing the business of bahubali or rrr. They also have their share of bad movies and flop movies. Only the exceptional ones in every industry will becomes a hit.

There is nothing wrong with making movies on LGBTQ+. They are also human beings and deserves to be represented. Out of 100s of movies releasing per year there are hardly 3-4 movies with that topic in the last 3-4yrs. That don't even make up to 3%. Movies on those topic are very very rare.

How many movies are same as gehrariyan? People didn't like it so it flopped. It's because the story wasn't good and not because it had bold scenes so people rejected it. It released on Amazon prime and not in theaters. It was never targeting family audiences. There are webseries and movies with much bolder scenes that became a hit. So they clearly weren't trying to sell bold scenes. Nowadays a movie won't become a success if its not well made and doesn't matter how many bold scenes that movie will have. If the story is good then it will be a hit even if it has bold scenes. Majority really don't care if there is a kissing scene or bold scene. Bahubali1 had a lot of bold scenes if tamana and bahubali 2 didn't had any. Both were blockbusters. Pushpa had an item number and rrr didn't. Both did well.

So having bold scenes have nothing to do with the condition of bwood film industry. They lack content and south movies are going ahead of them.

I'm not talking about women in general but actresses and models. Heroines like zeenat went bold , she was appreciated , sharmila "chose " to go bold by wearing a two piece in evening in Paris. helen chose to do item numbers ...Likewise many others . But in today's times there is no place for actresses. Girls have to look good , wear short clothes , do item numbers , hot photoshoots , kiss on screen , do 1 making out scene , even have fake affairs for pr. If they don't do it , some other girl will. So girls go that route consciously and what exactly is the intention ? They say its their choice , their body , they r comfortable in these clothes so nobody should have a problem. But men think otherwise don't they? Are they sexualizing themselves or not ? Are they forced to do such roles ?

It's glamor industry where everyone is there to exploit , everybody's main aim is to earn money whatever the means . If any girl is being sexualized , they must quit but do they? This whole debate about "who are you to tell any woman or man how to dress up , what to do what not " All this talk wouldn't be happening if girls and boys were not sexualizing themselves .

If I am not wrong, there was a paki actresses who was criticized for her bold photoshoot recently. Why exactly ?

Shraddha kapoor don't do half the amount of hot scenes or wear too much sexy clothes and don't even have much controversy but is still loved by the masses and gets movies. She wears clothes that are wore normally by women in her social circles. On the other hand disha patani is always in way too revealing clothes and does very bold scenes but hardly gets any good movie. So it has nothing to do with how much they wear or not. If a certain actress click with the audience they will do well no matter what they wear. If an actresses is loved on the basis of her clothes then by now disha patani would have been the no1 actress in Bollywood.

Katrina Kaif for the longest time didn't use to wear too revealing clothes and do much intimate scenes and still managed to be a top actress without any acting skills. She still don't wear clothes as sexy as Deepika or Priyanka and still gets movies.

Nowadays even non-celebs and non-models wear very bold clothes and even bikini. They aren't doing it to sell themselves or appeal to anyone or attract the masses or gain popularity. All these celebs live in a social circle were wearing a bikini on a poolside or a beach is as normal as wearing a saree to a function. Their mindset is different. Srk's wife wears bold clothes. She ain't doing it to get any project or attract anyone or make money. She wears them because she wants to. There are a lot of rich socialites that wear branded clothes and very revealing ones. They aren't doing that to get anyone's attention and they don't want to. Aamir Khan's daughter wears a bikini. She isn't wearing them to get movies. If she wanted her father would have made a movie for her the way she wants. Alia Bhatt is someone who has all the connections from the very beginning and if she don't want to wear revealing clothes she always had the choice not to wear them. So it is really their choice on what to wear. If they don't want to then they always have a choice not to. They grew up in an environment were all the clothes they wear are normal to them.

Also you might think kissing onscreen is bad but the actresses don't. They see it as part of their job. Not everyone is forced to do it. Radhika apte went nude for a movie and she clearly isn't trying to be the top actress of Bollywood by revealing it all. Deepika Padukone did plenty of kissing scenes in gehrariyan. She is already a top actress and married. Nobody can force her to do those kind of scenes if she don't want to. Artists think differently. You might think intimate scenes as vulgar but they see it as a form of expression and part of their job. there are theater plays that has kissing scenes. The actors there ain't trying to attract masses with kissing scenes or bold scenes.

People in general likes to watch beautiful and perfect people onscreen so looking good all the time has become a part of their job.
