Drastic change in Papa ki Pari and Anu . Future track.

Hello All - seeking forgiveness in advance as I don't speak Hindi at all, lives in U.K. So apologies if my translation fails me.

I am in love with this serial . Been watching all the episodes for the 3 weeks about 20 times ( obviously skipping the dumb ridiculed plot). Few things I've noticed and no doubt you savvy fans are already on the hints.

1. Papa ki pari - Wish Dr was still alive to see his party animal spoilt brat is now an ideal life partner/daughter in law. He must be happy in heaven that his daughter is full of respect and love for everyone. Point being that despite RKC slapping her and BP insulting her - she never retorted to violence or insult.

2. Despite being rich, she respected the sentiments of the driver Prakash and his family . She didn't make a fuss about room etc. Definitely heart of gold. She makes me wonder if there are any selfless person like in real world? The actress is so beautiful and cute. Wish her lot of success in life.

3. Writers - they have changed GG drastically. I remember an episode where she couldn't eat a spicy samosa and Anu rushed to her with water and today she was asking spicier puff water pastry. She used to use a lot of English words and expressions in her sentence and these days she is speaking pure Hindi and heavy dialogues in Hindi. Do you fans recalls her saying to Anu on several occasions that her Hindi is weak .

Another instance was during her wedding episode in the middle she was talking to god saying God ji, didn't know how to pray now she uses Bhagwan etc. Why such drastic change. Isn't she meant to be posh modern and NRi.

4. If this series last any longer past this stupid bigamist track - do you think Anu will gift her modern western clothes to remind her of the original GG that he knew and possibly fell in love with. That would be a nice gesture from Anu. Do you think Lately there has been a lot mention of money and luxuries like 5 star hotel and modern lifestyle that Anu will try to become a rich guy to accommodate some luxuries for wife and kid. Afterall we keep hearing the scientist of year being mentioned endlessly and USA job offers. .

5. I know we're all miffed about the original concept change - but I think that writers are trying to bring back some points of earlier episodes. For eg when their alliance was being discussed during GG birthday- Garima said that Anu is a calm person and GG feisty immature girl. Garima was saying that if these 2 comes together they will bring out their hidden inner personalities, like GG will become a bit mature and Anu will learn to relax , live and enjoy life a little bit immaturely.

Certainly makers are showing it - GG completely changed and Regarding Anu - well what I can , once this man has tasted freedom he is a different person both internally and externally. Today during his phone convo about missing you, voice modulated in kids mode asking her to come, he wants to see her etc.

Seriously I had a permanent grin on my face watching him. Definitely took away my 12hrs shift tiredness.

I do serious wish that this actor get lot of projects in his life and make a successful career in Tv industry.

6. Video call - today writers/PH could've notched a bit higher . when Anu said that he was missing, he could've done video call and seeing her in this gorgeous traditional attire and happy smiling face would've helped his recovery and a very nice Anugun scene for the audience.

Makers didn't capitalise the moment.

7 - IMO , if Anu finds GG in that village/Chawl , this brother might ask him or plan a proper wedding or for them to complete full wedding things like the 7circles/pheras and making the vows and utmost thing that we haven't seen yet is that Anu would put the wedding nuptial chain ( something called sutra) .

It would be the perfect amalgamation of the village track and this where Anu father and GC gang attends the wedding and then take GG to Kshit dwelling to the rice pot kicking ritual before entering in the house.

8. Anu ki pari - when will Anu call her his pari. Will ever get to hear from Anu that he will address late Dr Riddesh as his father in law or quote himself as his son in law in public.

9. Finance: hints today about paying hospital bill. Out of interest how much money does GG has and now that Dr is dead where all the money is coming from. I was thinking that from the hospital business.

Talking about hospital- do you think that Anu will push GG to study and manage the hospital to keep her father's dream/hospital alive.

Your views please and also apologises if I have insulted the Hindu wedding tradition .

This is where my apathy begins. They changed GG so much that I can't connect with her anymore. It feels like she is now a totally different person. They wanted to show her mature. Fine! That could have been done through actions with GG determined to find her husband not caring about luxuries of life, showing utmost strength and determined will to fight till the last breathe. But why did they have to ruin her character by bringing heavy typical Bollywood cheesy dialogues! Being mature doesn't mean that suddenly she gains a 1000 tonne volume of Hindi vocabulary! Being mature doesn't mean crapping Sindoor haq pati all the time! 🤪 Also what is with the stylist! Just because she is living in chawl why does she have to wear such blingy clothes? Didn't she have her own clothes? Did she forget to take her bag from the hotel or what? 🤪

About Anubhav. A small trivia. Wasn't his phone taken away by RV? How did he get back his phone?🤪Iss plot mein sirf aur sirf loopholes hain! I can literally pass an elephant through one of them because they are darn big to get unnoticed! 😆

Agree with you.. GG has become so totally changed that you wonder if someone exchanged her with a hindi scholar twin. Her lack of understanding some hindi words, her fear for injury were things that added on to the cuteness of the show.

I don't find GG's change something worthy of appreciation coz it was firstly coz it was not a character development (it would have been if the change was slow paced) but just a sudden change of characterization that the writers dumped on GG. Secondly it has now moulded GG to the typical ITV FL and not someone the young blood or a student could identify with.

Even with Anubhav I liked the pre PWP version better, the one who had started to care for his fiance, yet didn't want it to be obvious, who was finding her quirkiness and childish bossing enjoyable. I liked his maturity, a perfect contrast to her naivety and innocence that balanced them out as a couple. Now they are behaving like nibba nibbi with the brattish girl of nibbi being the sacrificing doormat

I don't like their new versions

Bratty dumb and innocent Gungun was ❤️

Now she only speaks nonsense.

Same for Anubhav, give him his glasses back.

But the whole show is a major disappointment so...

The thing here, in this show, is that nearly all character had a 360 degrees shift in their arc.

The K family is being portrayed as a twisted version of positive/negative folks.

Gungun, who was such an opened, modern n carefree girl, a party n comfort habituated girl, is now shown as a savitri type of woman. She is all customs, sindoor, sacrifices, balidaan, sindoor related apshagun, ideal patni. She's wearing traditional indian wear (which was clearly pointed out by Garima and Riddhesh that Gungun seldom wears such clothes nor she owns any)

This show is a goner.

Gungun is replaced by typical ITV bahu.

Though Gungun is Dr Maya’s daughter but she is raised by Garima and Riddhesh. Initial episodes had Riddhesh Garima conversation where they talked about having a joint family like Kulsheshtras when they were kid.

Both Riddhesh and Garima are traditional. Gungun grew up among these two people. But why was she modern? English speaking spoilt brat then?

1. Riddhesh most of the time was busy with his hospital.

2. Maya left her 8 year old daughter.

3. Garima though loved Gungun but from first episode we saw how she kept talking about her own daughter. Garima is not a strict Bua, rather she pampered Gungun.

4. All the emptiness in her life made her e rebel. More than she enjoyed her life with Ranvijay gang she was mostly in the mood of spooling her life on purpose.

5. She was like a kanch ki guriya, vulnerable because all she wanted was attention. That’s why spicy food irritated her, little pain made her shout.

6. I live in a place where kids learn English very easily. But I don’t want her to forget her mother tongue. So I talk to her in our mother tongue. My daughter is like Gungun wearing modern dresses and talking American English. But in family functions she wears Indian clothes and talks our mother tongue very well.

Gungun is raised by Garima and Riddhesh, she ignored their Hindi because she was a rebel but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know the words. Remember in Anugun first meeting she said “bulane aur nimantran dene mein fark hota hai”

She did understand the difficult Hindi that time as well.

Gungun 2.0 is mad in love with Anubhav. Love makes people do things which is impossible at times.

Gungun’s insecurity is gone. She acted like that to get attention from Ridhdhesh, Maya, Garima.

But now she has all the love and attention she needed. She trusts Anubhav’s love. She is no more insecure. She doesn’t need to rebel to get attention.

Gungun changed herself, tried to make herself like Garima bua, because she knew Garima is like any of the K ladies whom Anubhav loves. She wanted to be a part of K family ladies.

Anubhav also had a makeover. He also did because he thinks Gungun might like him.

How the vulnerable Gungun became so strong that she fought with terrorists and went to a temple barefoot? Because now she got strength from Anubhav’s love. Insecure people are always weak and if you know someone loves you your weakness goes away.

I don’t like people changing for their lover. May be in future both Anugun will tell each other that I fell in with the old you and you don’t need to change yourself for me.

But YES, I absolutely HATE one thing. Gungun becoming traditional is fine but becoming a DOORMAT, simply NO NO.

Let her be DURGA, not holding Aakriti’s feet or getting slapped by her. Not sacrificing her love to evil Aakriti. Don’t take decisions for Anubhav. Be traditional but don’t say “ shaadi pavitra rishta hota hai, Anubhav tum Aakriti ko divorce nahi de sakte, parivar ke khilaf mat jao”

It's my imagination-when riddhesh was young, he married Maya against his own family.garima also got married to his fake love but unfortunately Shankar and garima's marriage could not work out due to cheat and extramarital affair with his sister in law..so two sibling garima and riddhesh have been thrown out of home by their grandparents or parents...may be gungun's grandparents didn't like Maya as she was a modern and outspoken like new age girl not completely like housewife...gungun's grandparents were old fashioned..riddhesh used to be poor before becoming famous doctor...then they shifted to usa along with Maya for better career....Maya and riddhesh used to fall in love with each other and became parents to gungun..Maya slowly ignored being a mother to gungun after focusing on many patients to have luxurious life...they stayed together at usa for 9 years...riddhesh and Maya fought together over careers and parents and gungun too..riddhesh has become more angry because gungun has become lonely without mother's affection...after some days Dr.riddhesh took a decision to build a big hospital in Lucknow...Dr.maya was very shocked with riddhesh's decision..riddhesh told Maya that he would take gungun to India to have wonderful childhood..Dr.maya has refused to take her daughter away from her..Dr.maya reminded him of gungun being US citizen as well as born in usa originally..Dr.riddhesh also told her that his sister garima will take care of gungun like own daughter..Dr.maya shouts no,garima is already outsider...Dr.riddhesh warned her not to take ill about his sister...that's how gungun has been pampered a lot by bua and riddhesh...riddhesh and bua didn't want gungun to remember the pain of her mother Maya.. they always pampered her a lot to forget selfish mother...they didn't even be strict with gungun..that's the reason gungun became a modern...once she comes to Lucknow she will go back to wear western clothes like always...she is only wearing traditional clothes for sometimes...gungun is the best girl ever...she has a pure heart unlike akiriti..but it's mentioned that gungun has asked Maya to go to gungun's grandmother's home before anugun was supposed to get married..I think gungun's maternal grandparents are living in lucknow..
