It could also be that they are making him focus on the playacting more than his singing.
Being entertaining on stage is his natural instinct..it adds to the singing. If that's taken away he may lose the zing. And that will show in front of the camera..playback singing is a different thing.
It's like Nihal and Ashish gave their most memorable performances when they rocked the stage with their energy.

That must have been awesome. My wife is a keen follower of hers and she tells me that each performance of Kaushiki Chakraborty is unique because of the variations she brings.

She has an amazing smiling and cheerful public personality. That is what touches me the most. Her father, I have heard a number of times too, even at small private events. I would prefer to pay to see and hear Kaushiki 😃
