Generally in other shows I have seen actors pose with the child artist or doing some kind of masti. Like u said it could be a deliberate attempt by makers to keep it a mystery but given how they used the actors to publicise the leap, it should have been the other way around. They will get the actors to pose with the kid or make them give interviews so that audience fall for it. NaSha have given interviews together and even when they weren’t shooting together Disha has visited Nakuul on IB’s set. I love how they have maintained their bond from PKDH days without being too fussy about it. I even liked their interview together with Siddharth Kannan.

EK n team r weird people. NM n DP would be right there onthe set but they won't give an interview with Sbs or sbb together.

Suddenly there was an overflow of NaSha interview to promote their crappy leap..

Since I read here that the kid posts with everyone except NaSha , am thinking it could be some deliberate tactics..

These makers will unfortunately use all of their brain only in these kind of stupid gimmicks ..

Had they rattled their brains in the story development, balh2 would have been a classic instead of a good for nothing illogical comedy show where even by mistake nothing ever makes sense 😡

It’s really strange. I mean u should get the lead couple to give interviews together to pique the audience’ interest. Yahan toh other than them everyone else gives interviews on BTS. The only time I saw NaSha interviews were during the last phase of pre leap. I donno what kind of strategy is this

What surprises me is just before they came up with s2, they had made the OTT version of BALH and that was so good. So technically this is a third version of the show. So if you are remaking it for the second time, even if you cannot surpass the first remake which was the OTT, it can at least be as good as that. Forget being as good as the OTT version, this one not even 10% as good as the OG which came ten years ago. While s1 was really good, it had a few stereotypical tracks. When they decided to remake it again for TV they had an opportunity to fix those mistakes. In the beginning it was an interesting take to be honest. Ram unlike in s1 who was cold and aloof initially was cheerful and compassionate. And Priya here was actually better than Priya from s1 (initial days of course). She was a girl who was practical and she didn preach ideals for the sake of it. She lived it. Her reaction to situations around her based on her past experience was something I could relate to. After leap toh her character is reduced to a caricature of her former self which is sad

Exactly 🤣🤣 It makes more sense to capitalize the existing bond of NaSha than to hide it..

But on a side note I see other ITV show leads make regular vlogs promote their Jodi so much, I feel the love that Nakuul n Disha's pair has won is really pure n organic. It is for the magic they created as RaYa , their wonderful acting n not for any offscreen bond they share ,shipping etc etc

I started watching baarish recently, saw only few episodes n realized balh2 is a blatant copy..

But I still like Ram 1.0 n Pri 1.0 , Our Shivi-Shubhu , Adi-Bri, even Vedika more than the respective analogous characters in Baarish..

Even NaSha chemistry is more endearing than Gauravi n Sharman ..

But the presentation over there is really neat and writing consistent..

I read the post of mangs in some other thread today, n I think I agree that EK n team get sadistic pleasure by deliberately torturing the audience. The more fans get enraged , tag EK , tag the writers almost begging them to unite RaYa, these people feel entitled and validated..

I liked s1 as that was one of the rare shows my family would watch, even my cousins who hated itv shows only watched balh s1 too. i didnt understand shows much back then, but i liked the episodes even though i watched it sometimes. i cant remember much about episodes before they got married, but after they got married, though priya n ram married for their siblings just like this season they both had respect for each other even though they wont have even imagined marrying each other before that(same as this season)

plus that time leap after seperation and united by the kid was kinda a different idea not an overused idea hence ppl liked the show, as it was heart-warming and kinda unique.

but now in this modern era ppl started to like realistic things more as its more connected and many tracks like the leap are overused in itv already hence it is not surprising ppl couldnt connect to the show after the leap. however what made the difference is in first season there was no hatred in these 5 years gap and both characters stayed true to themselves (though the pre-leap was highly unrealistic, priya assumed dead in a car accident, priya was in coma for 2 weeks, then went to dubai etc) but it wasnt toxic. unlike this season the characters didnt stay true to themselves hence its not relatable anymore to the fans of this shows , ram hates priya a lot (only difference here the pre leap scenario was a bit more real, priya served her punishment in jail for 2 years n then she went places to places as it was hard for a convict to stay, but problem its very toxic cause of the hate ram has for priya)

if balhs2 ran for 100-150 episodes personally i feel it would have been considered better than s1 and baarish. i remember reading a review by a critic on balhs2 first week episode and he mentioned the show was good and had potential to surprass its original. if makers sticked to their original plan of this being a finite series/like a web series this show could have done wonders.

I completely agree. Your lead actors have a good chemistry and they are good friends offscreen. You don't have to shove it under viewer's nose but make use of it. Get them to promote the show at least. I have followed them since PKDH days. I didn watch IB or Disha's other show on Zee. But did get to read articles on them time and again. They have been good friends for a decade. Not the kind who hang out all the time and party. Off late friendship stories are a publicity stunt for insta. But here they have been in touch all this time and they never felt the need to show it off. That says a lot about the bond they have.

Baarish is an OTT show. Unlike daily soaps, stories move at a fast pace. So you may not get time to bond with the characters like u do but from a story telling perspective it is crisp and engaging. With daily soaps, one event is stretched across 5 episodes 😆 I guess RaYa marriage for instance. Shubhu - I never liked him much but I liked Shivi. Adi and Bri were also good pre leap. I did like the characters in Baarish but not to an extent that I can ship them coz u dont get to see too much of them as the story rushes forward.

Sharman and Asha Negi are good actors and I liked their chemistry. It was subtle. NaSha have an amazing chemistry. Not comparing at all. But Gauravi and Anuj were more relatable as characters coz they are people you might stumble across in ur own life.

EK loves torturing her audience and I have suffered for years 🤢 Mom used to constantly watch K serials back in the day. Can never forget KYPH, KTH or even KZK1. Pure torture.

plus that time leap after seperation and united by the kid was kinda a different idea not an overused idea hence ppl liked the show, as it was heart-warming and kinda unique. I did not watch S1 coz back then mom used to watch shows on Star mostly and then Colors. At that time I remember watching only PKYEK which was surprisingly decent despite being a supernatural EK show and a youth oriented one at that. Then I saw MB (till the leap happened) coz I was crazy about Vivian D'Sena. Saw PKDH along with mom. So I guess BALH1 aired at the same time. Not sure. But my friends and even cousins had raved about it but couldn't watch since mom used to watch some other show on another channel and back then you didn't have streaming platforms to watch online. But I knew about the storyline and few characters and had seen very few scenes. I saw Baarish later on and loved it. When S2 came, I wanted to watch it only for NaSha but couldn't for some reasons. Now when I started watching S2, I saw few episodes and scenes from S1 and was pleasantly surprised to see how progressive it was back then. U did have cliched villains like the step mom, step brother and Priya's own sister. You know scheming, plotting and what not? But a decade ago, people watched it for all this drama. Unfortunately they still do coz thats the only explanation y shows like Bhagyas rule the TRP charts or even nonsensical shows like GHKPM and Imlie 🤢

but now in this modern era ppl started to like realistic things more as its more connected and many tracks like the leap are overused in itv already hence it is not surprising ppl couldnt connect to the show after the leap. however what made the difference is in first season there was no hatred in these 5 years gap and both characters stayed true to themselves (though the pre-leap was highly unrealistic, priya assumed dead in a car accident, priya was in coma for 2 weeks, then went to dubai etc) but it wasnt toxic. unlike this season the characters didnt stay true to themselves hence its not relatable anymore to the fans of this shows , ram hates priya a lot (only difference here the pre leap scenario was a bit more real, priya served her punishment in jail for 2 years n then she went places to places as it was hard for a convict to stay, but problem its very toxic cause of the hate ram has for priya) Even in S1 few things were not realistic. Like how did Priya manage to go to Dubai? When she went to jail, I am sure she left her belongings with Ram. You need a passport first and how can a dead person get visa and someone with a criminal background 😆 And living in Dubai is no joke. She didn't have any money first of all. She didn have any jewels to sell or property coz if she had tried to sell then Ram would have known about it. And unlike in S2 where Priya had a friend like Krish who is a PI and who could help her settle down and live an anonymous life, in S1 Priya had no one. How did she manage medical expenses during her pregnancy? She seemed to be in a decent accommodation too. But still keeping aside these unrealistic things S1 was better. Coz Ram and Priya never parted on bitter note. They continued to love each other. And the bond which Ram Pihu shared before he got to know she was his daughter would literally pull your heartstrings. But here Ram has been so nasty to that kid, you will wish he never got to know about her. In S1 after Ram gets to know about Priya and Pihu, you could understand his anger and bitterness towards Priya for keeping his daughter away from him. But here Priya herself lies about the paternity of her child which was sick. I wish the pregnancy never came out or if Priya found out, she kept it a secret. And Ram toh has been so inconsistent. He vows he trusts her more than anyone in the world, more than his family. Technically speaking after marriage, she is his family and a top priority at that. Your parents will eventually part with you, your siblings will go their own way and so do your children. But a good partner always will stand by you. But this guy lets his family manipulate him. I wont speak about the time when Shivi died. Coz I get it he was not in the right frame of mind. But talking about all those years he lived with them.

if balhs2 ran for 100-150 episodes personally i feel it would have been considered better than s1 and baarish. i remember reading a review by a critic on balhs2 first week episode and he mentioned the show was good and had potential to surprass its original. if makers sticked to their original plan of this being a finite series/like a web series this show could have done wonders. I will still say I find the OTT version better 😆 Less torture for one and even when MU happened, it felt organic and not out of place. The way the S2 was shot itself was so impressive in the early days. They could have shown MS to be a nasty person and stopped at that. Him being a horrible father was enough of a reason for Ram to go against him in the future. First of all no father is so horrible they will wish such bad things for their child. Max they can be indifferent but purposely ruining the life of ur own daughter who is ur flesh and blood? It was too much. And y turn VK's death into a center theme for this story? RaYa were already connected by their siblings and that was enough. They could have shown Shivi's immaturity leading to the downfall of her marriage and maybe shown it in a more realistic way than S1. I liked how Priya in S2 never got too lovey dovey even after consummation whereas Ram being the romantic fool he was, neve left an opportunity to express his love. They could have focused on just building the journey of these two characters. But instead they spend 90% of the time tackling conspiracies hatched by either MS, Neeraj or Raj from Priya's side or Nandu, Shubhu and Vedu from Ram's side. This show could have been a masterpiece but alas its another opportunity laid to waste.

My comments in blue.
