Do Indian main leads not look Indian?

Many ppl say this. Do you agree?

Which actor/actress doesn't look Indian?

My freinds say, hrithik, aishwarya, kareena, karishma, Alia, Katrina, Saif etc 

What nationality do they look like then? Other than Katrina... Asking cz I am curious 

Yes, they don't look like average Indians you see on streets, in day to day life etc

The most common answer I get is middle eastern but I think that could be bcuz many of friends believe all Indians to be brown skinned. 

You think the average American looks like Scar Jo or young Angelina Jolie or Emma Watson or Natalie Portman? Or  Zac Effron or Cody Christian or Chris Pine or young Tom Cruise?

It's the movie industry, man! They sell fantasy.

Emma is British though. 

But most of her work is in HW so the comparison is apt.

What is the definition of 'looking Indian'? 

Given that we have so much diversity, right from North-East to Kerala, JK to WB, what according to these ppl is 'looking Indian'? 

Actually your right. My question should have been, do Bollywood main leads not look like the majority of Indians? Cuz light skinned ppl are ruling the film industry of a predominantly brown skinned country
