I was looking up this song - Jab deep jale aana - to post on another thread and the YT alogrithm popped up an II contestant (Shivam I think) singing it. It was mighty impressive. I'm not following the show, but the video I caught only had his voice not the video. Do you have the video link?

Also is Shivam still a contender? (I might watch in that case)

Thank you, I found it as well. He was note perfect. And some harkats went beyond the original. His voice is a little weak though. Loved the performance.

Eliminations and Fan Popularity
Despite the rise in TRP over the last 2 weeks, most of the contestants are unable to attract fan attention.

There are at least 5 contestants who barely managed to acquire 6K new fans in the last 2 weeks on IG. These include;
Deboshmita Roy
Navdeep Wadali
Shivam Singh
Sonakshi Kar
Rupam Bharnarhia

Only a couple of them can at best be saved by the judges if the trend continues.
The high-flying contestants, as far as fan support is concerned, are:
Rishi Raj Singh
Kavya Limaye
Vineet Singh

all of whom added at least 30k new fans on IG.

Based on the past trends, a lot of IG fans is not a sure shot finals trip. But Sony can pull a Sawai trick only once. So I expect that Bidipta/Anushka/Chirag, will last a long while along with these 3 (or 2) while the pressure of votes will take a toll on most of the others. The title is there for Rishi's taking in my opinion.

No, stopped watching years ago. Just came across this one contestant singing this song I love. And was impressed. But looks like he's not the favorite 😆, which is always the case in these reality shows. The strongest singers rarely win.

Hopefully shows will not be affected. Might be/possibly channels like music, movies (as both channels have these) &TV/SAB could be casualty. Decision not made yet. Zee in financial problem hence Sony involved.

Where are the Top contestants of Indian Idol 12 these days? And what are their upcoming away tours? SSS2 contestants coming this week so we can expect Idol 12× Idol 13 soon.
