Shady people throw shade lol
Next he will say that starring in a Netflix project with Gal and the outlander actor in lead roles is the biggest deal, without batting an eyelid.
I agree. If your film industry can't make money, going to any festivals or Oscars doesn't matter. Sadly Dharma has neither Oscars/film festival awards nor cross-over hit films. 😆
Sounds like jealousy and sour grapes combined.
Who he is ? A toxic waste , bw needs cleaning
Pehle ek toh leke aa.
He's showing pride in the cinema of India and you call it "shady answer".
In Hindi we call that "kuucchhh bhhhi" and
In English we call it "a reach".
I think the whole context is mistaken and posted only half what he said. This is really looking bad. But Karan was not wrong here.
Karan praised Pan India movies like RRR, pushpa and KGF and said we should work as one industry.
His words "When the south has done expansive business in the north, that is the best crossover. Going to any film festival or winning the Oscar does not matter to us, we want to grow as Indian cinema, as it has been proven time and again"
The whole interview really give a different meaning...

His inclusive answer need not have brought in film festival and Oscars reference. It was a dig. Sorry.
