It's TRP game, I too feel if within a month if they don't see good number. Hero and friend may conclude that viewers are missing the hero. Bang Anuj will vanish in thin air..and Anu will be back to SH.

They won't acknowledge the fact that they had ruined the story long back and some viewers ain't coming back like me.

I joking asked my mother if she wants to see Anupama few days back and told her how Anu put her X-family name in Mehndi. Her reaction was is this lady mad, she did very wrong with Anuj. Then I told her Anuj did the same. She was like I don't want to see the nonsense, my RadhaKrishna is better..my home, we have not played Anupama on TV since DV track started.

Yep.. Agreed with your take. Also, it is about Gaurav. I feel soon he would be bored of this character. His character development is like sine wave, kabhi upar kabhi neeche, kabhi daaye kabhi baaye.. Plus the way he keeps on saying that he won't go unless he is kicked out.. seems like a premonition to me

Regarding the PC, I just couldn't stop myself from remembering the Xmas episode... moment someone come in Anuj life, all he does to show his love is transfer his property.

When Mukku came in few episodes he transferred everything to her on Xmas without her asking.

Now after marriage he is giving everything to Anu without her asking.

It could probably be him leaving because of the lack of charac arc - we have seen that he has put his heart and soul into the most crappiest tracks and has done a fab job. We wouldn't be here jhelloing and trolling the show if it wasn't for him - acting/looks/nuances etc. and such things in itv are very common

Looking at it a little more realistically, yes agreed it is all trp focused and a drop in numbers could lead them to throw out charac or reintroduce old ones, the makers deciding to chop his charac off will be highly unlikely - because logically (and more from a business pov) this has what has happened (from Jan - May)

Limited ss to GK; absolute crass dialogues/tracks for the hero incl constant zooms during one of the most awaited tracks in the show; the most regressive tracks like the return to SH and baddua etc (again going to limited ss bit) and not to forget the most famous prequel which harmed the current story more than anything - all of which led to a massive trp fall but instead of fixing the story, they PAINTED the problem!! Unka nuksaan nahi hua, we just lost a lot of our brain cells! 😆

So all i'm basically trying to say is that - even with all this, the audience who are sticking around are doing so for the lead pair. All said and done, they are trying to pacify/retain audience at this point. "breaking" apart the lead pair has never worked in itv because the audience connect goes and it takes a long long time to rebuild that esp now when there's so much content available - why would you spend your time and energy in watching a new "lead" pair in the same serial - trust runs quite thin so does patience!

So what I'm (and probably GK too) is also betting on is the mass fan following and connect. More than GK-RG, I feel PH/channel needs them! and at this point (or next couple of months), even if either one of them (GK or RG) were to leave, the show will shut shop!

Vaise bhi, I don't see this show running for more than 1 year at the very max - post BB season which usually ends around Feb (cus few of the PH's stars are going to be on that show most likely and/or Albela ki long running se umeed kam hai purely because of the channel it is on!!), there will most likely be a new serial from the same PH replacing this show as longer leaps (given the age factor - not age shaming ofc) aren't feasible. And with the new entries, the audience will need a few weeks to adjust and accept and one more mess-up like Mukku's track and it will be all over for them!!

So either they tread carefully with the "woke" audience or pack their bags (although I still want both GK and RG to bag something much better and bid them goodbye ASAP!)
