He's wonderful as Shashank, isn't he? not too handsome or hot. Like neutral body, fairly good looking and a wonderful actor. Plus, he's got a nice , dry sense of humour in real life. Acha gata bhi hai.

Seriously, when I was watching the picnic episodes and I was angry with him during the whole family convo too but when Kukki says he is going to get transfer and BS says he would go abroad since he is so bad, all my anger went *hiss*....aur usse park mein dekhar tho aur bhi bura laga!! (That park scene is one of my favorite gang scenes though! )
And yes I agree, he's not WOW handsome or built or fair or wears fancy clothes all the time. Very realistic, handsome, cute, boy next door types with a killer smile! And his sense of humor is definitely a plus!

1.This perfectly sums up Shashank. He KNOWS he's a well-to-do, disciplined scholar and that's why the belief that what he knows is right and true.
2.Plus , k family has no one who's highly educated and successful, sab mard aur sumi baith k timepass karte hai and aurton ko ghar ka kam hai(because conservative) so the bar is very low and he thinks he knows best.
3.Plus Vinayak showers him with praise every 5 episodes.

Yeh jo scientist ka ghamand hai na that " I'm a disciplined scholar, hence i know the best" yeh tootna chahiye. Appu made some dents in it after her help in getting jewellery and getting Vidya and Bhaskar together again.
So thoda toota hai, but abhi boht tootna baki hai.
You really summed up BS quite well, he is arrogant about his status, even if he would never admit it, also he has an anger issue and just says anything when he is angry without really thinking, but all of this doesn't mean that he loves his family any less, he can do anything for his family and agreed to marry Appu even though he completely disliked her at that point. I think after this track he realises that his issues relating to anger.

Welcome back Nia! We are very angry with him! Chinmay is taking a break from her WU cuz of the drama. I'll write summaries for a while, I think it's on page 45 or 46...It wasn't unwatchable, and I think you should watch it for Appu, because we are proud of her today for being so calm and mature.
