I feel like till the Holi episode, Imlie was fine with Aryan being her partner (with no love feelings associated) and that is why she many times said she was fine with marriage if it was not for revenge. I have a different theory. Love is when you care more for someone else than self. She is shown to be a one man woman. She fell in love only after her marriage and her first realization was only recently when she almost lost him. Before her marriage she cared for him only as a friend.
I think she developed an attraction towards aru after the hut incident in pagdandiya. She realized more than a friend wali feeling when Aru was fighting for his life after save Arpi mission. LAUU vali feelings pinpoint karna mushkil hai.. as a viewer I first noticed imlu being all mushy during and after the coffee phone conversation. She was blushing all the way ride home, and so was I🙈

I agree. I felt the same.. her response to Aru always felt like a good comrade/ friendship. She had nvr looked past Aditya.. even the marriage was because Aryan threatened to ruin Aditya. The coffee phone conversation was the first time i saw imlie blushing 😆
