Besides that i agree with what you said that we need to see the characters slow down and process whats happening. I complained today also in the dt. How imlie was so broken yesterday but we don't see any introspection about it today. This is just shoddy writing and even shoddier direction.

P. S. - after actors leave the show i think you still cannot use the old footage for flashbacks. Its in actors contract. Unless you have specifically signed an actor for the purpose of flashback like arvind. That's why we don't get to see her comparing aditya and aryan bec they can't use either aditya's scenes anymore.

Yes that was totally to create drama element and attract a set of audience that connects to it.

Baseless accusations and low treatment of DIL was/is very normal in our society. Almost 8/10 trp ladies would connect to imlie's pain while Naramada accused and slapped her.

Yeah they've to find a way to show reflection without showing the other actors that've left in flashback scenes if any of them is used.

in many ways, narmada has been way lenient earlier. the expression "quiet before the storm" fits for her. we were discussing in another thread that this was the closest call of aryan so far -- hence, the tipping point made sense.

it can be done. it just needs good writing where they talk a lot and have the character stand moody in a corner and reflect. but if the A team isn't writing the scenes, then maybe too much to expect a real emotional dance?

I expected N to cold shoulder Imlie for taking her son's feelings granted and not to accuse her of breaking homes and shame her for her past relationships when she herself witnessed how painful they were for her. I don't know if it's a loophole in writing or they totally want to destroy her arc but the slapping and shaming was not needed in the name of introspection. Wrong actions at wrong timings. Instead she should have confronted Imlie when she was visibly and repeatedly humiliating her son then and there.

again, am going to be an outlier but I was fine with the accusations because I saw it as necessary for the plot to move forward and have some amount of introspection. for some weirdo reasons, the only introspections or reflections seems to happen with taunts in imlie. so people have to be nasty and that forces them to react and get out of their comfort zone. that seems to be the consistent writing style from all the episodes I have seen. just like imlie needed aditya to turn against her in order for her to accept the relationship was over for good, it seems that she needs narmada to stab her in order to take this relationship seriously...

I don't think her accusations forced imlie out of her comfort zone or made her realise anything. It just shred her fragile self worth to bits. Because if something like this is coming from your mother it must be true.

I agree with everything..the continuation is not there from episode to episode..not just this time ..many times..she was so broken..and next day Imliepanti shuru..

What was that like ready live at her MIL feet? If she feels like she wasn't right for Aryan..it should continue..not just stop..even in her room..must think..did she come between a mother and son?? May be some flashbacks..

I loved Balika Vadhu too.. where Anandhi just not able to get into a physical relationship with Shiv just yet..her pain..her flash backs with Jagya...I mean ignoring the multiple weddings etc..this was a set of episodes I watched.. beautiful execution.

I also think low-key that the quality will improve after IPL because that's when the real competition begin. The show is self sustaining for now.

the reason I said introspection is this is the first scene after marriage where we have imlie acknowledge that she has a past and it is impacting her present. it felt bizarre that the tripathy family just disappeared and there has been no mention of her past life in any form. that is not realistic and the past should rear its ugly head at some point. in some ways, that is an insult to the fan group who watched the show from the beginning -- whether negative or positive, acknowledge the past! so yea, if accusations needed imlie to confront what has happened to her, I will take it. at this point, the writing is so shoddy that I am all for accusations. 😅🤷
