Again the problem is not surrogacy but the speed of picking it and the option of Pakhi as surrogate. By law she shouldn't be... How do you know if her womb is capable enough of carrying a foetus full term??? That's why the first basic rule of a woman who has already given birth.

That should logically rule out Pakhi.

Also from what I know, India has very loose rules of surrogacy. Lawyers may correct me. So it's actually an abuse of needy women who offer their womb from what I have heard.

Secondly, as mentioned by you, the emotional connect she will form and which is very natural since she would be supposed to be taking extra care if herself and the baby so that is bound to happen. Having the same child in front of your eyes day in and day out but unable to call yourself it's mother will make it difficult for Pakhi.

And sorry to say but that is a parallel of her relationship with V.

Just like because of his request to her, she married his brother... Both didn't think of how difficult it would be.

To be having the love of your life in front of you and yet have a relation with his brother and maintain the distance must be exhausting. That's one of the reason why I feel Pakhi's continuous attachment to V in intial days is not wrong.

She is wrong in assuming that he will have a relation with her after marriage and after him falling in love with Sai.

But the initial hurt of hers seems logical.

The attachment she felt for V will be similar to he attachment she will have with a child. Even more. And if that leads to her mental breakdown, no one can really blame her.

Comparing it with YHM again because I have seen it... Ishita was known to be infertile even before she married Raman. Thats why her engagement had broken.

She formed an attachment with Ramans daughter who made her feel complete. Ruhi called her mumma on the day she was to be married to Raman. It's a really beautiful bond that stayed till the end. And none of the family members ever accused or taunted Ishita of being infertile even when they were actually trying.

Ghum will not deal it like this. They will harass Sai like anything and no amount of love from V or team Sai will be able to compensate that. So no...

Surrogacy laws were loose till 2020 in India, in 2020 the parliament had passed Surrogacy Bill & now the laws are very strict.

As per the laws, A woman needs to have a child of her own to become a surrogate plus she needs to acquire a certificate of medical and pychological fitness before becoming a surrogate!

Also, the intended mother's age must be between 23 to 50 years.

So as per laws Surrogacy in Ghum is totally illegal coz neither Patralekha have a child of her own nor is she mentally fit, plus Sai is only around 21-22 years old, so laws will not allowed her to go through surrogacy to get a baby till she becomes 23.

But afterall this is Ghum, they never cared about Country's laws, of their ML can hide Naxalites & still face no repurcussions then this is nothing!!

Yeah hope they take this details into consideration, I tagged Vankar in Ig that day & mentioned that more than anything it's legally and morally wrong to show Patralekha as Surrogate, and fortunately both Vankar & Ayesha saw it.

I mean i really wouldn't blame Pakhi if she indeed gives birth to that child and then keeps on interfering or being attached to it.

That's also why surrogates don't remain in contact with the family later. Because the bond is then difficult to break.

Think about it like this... Some of you are not married, don't have kids but don't you feel attachment to your nieces and nephews... Your dearest friends kids??? Don't we all get territorial with them???

So why should it be different for Pakhi... More so when she has birthed it and the child is in front of her all the time.
