Story & Characterization Review [SPOILERS INCLUDED]
In this review i will be mostly talking about the characters, what they faced and what actually lies in the murder mystery.
Kang Da Jung (FL) was a troubled childhood woman whose father was an abuser and use to beat her mom. But one day her mom stands up against the violence and end her relationship with him and walk out with her children. She do not kill him because ultimately he is her first love who had unfortunately became a predator.
On the other hand, Ju Young Do (ML) had a elder brother who had a kidney issue so his mother wanted him (7 years old kid) to donate kidney to his elder brother as that is the only way to save her. But Young Do's father denied as he dont wanted to risk younger son's life for elder son. So he takes him to a church where many more children were present.
In the church, Kang Da Jung was also present for a while with her brother and their she met Choi Jung Min who caressed her head but later when she met him again he failed to recognize her. Later it turns Choi Jung Min had an elder twin (2nd ML - Ian Norman Chase) who came to visit him and he was failed to recognize Kang Da Jung. And Young Do met Ian.
Now twin brother's plot starts. The mother of twin brother sold her children to church where Choi Jung Min was tortured by the caretaker lady and his man and Ian was sent to US. After years, when in his teenage years Ian returned back to korea, he saw Jung Min is spending torturous life, he sees him injured, he goes inside their house only to see his so called mother lying dead and the man from church has turned into predator throwing things, drunken and in drunken ultimately he falls hard in an accidentally way hitting his head with a wooden log and dying. Seeing him dying, Ian quickly steals his lighter. He asks Jung Min to beat him up as he want to stage an act. Ian and Jung Min fight and later Ian sent Jung Min to a hotel for his safety and gives a wrong report to the police that he is Jung Min who saw all this tragedy infront of his eyes. Afterwards, Ian planned a revenge where he thrown a book called "True Murder" and some hardcash to the bookwriter and provoked him to prove that whatever he wrote in the book is true. To prove his words true, the psycho book writer started commiting crimes one by one, first killed the annoying church woman then murdered the detective who was searching for the clues, then murdered an assistant police officer at Gugu building (FL-ML's apartment). Lastly as the killer dont know it was Ian who proved him to murder he thought its Jung min and kept threatening him that if he dont kill himself ending his sufferings then he will either kill Kang Da Jung or Young Do (as one of them was in the church) and can help him. So everyone from the mess, Jung min commited suicide. Once all the secrets came out, the killer was injured in an accident (by a politician lady's men who had her side of story with Ian). Ultimately he got arrested for his crimes and Ian confessed he did provoked the man, although Ian didnt got any punishment. He lived free in guilt and repentance.
In the meanwhile, of all this Young Do was born with a weaker heart so he had a heart transplant surgery and the heart was donated by the assistant police officer whose senior became Young Do's friend and thats how he joined them in solving the murder mystery for years.
The killer was very psychopath he stabbed a junior cop too who later had a trauma from knives and he killed a woman by whom he tried to trap Ian but fallen in his own grave. Kang Da Jung was linked to all this as Jung Min was in love with Kang Da Jung and ultimately when she was about to reciprocate to his feelings he killed himself. Jung min was the poor soul here who suffered because of Ian and killer.
But Ahn Ga Young (2nd FL) had nothing related to the murder plot neither she had a love story with Ian. Ga Young was actually suicidal who married Young Do as she wanted a therapist to heal her. It was a one year marriage and post one year they got divorced. Her love story was with another actor Patrick (supporting ML). He was 10 years younger than her but there relationship broke up as he was asked by his officials to enter military.

The murder mystery was complicated in the show but it was quite fun and entertaining. Only if they had kept the episode limit upto 12 episodes instead 16 this could have got 8.5 ratings on MDL. But doesnt matter i am rating it 8.5/10. ♥️

In MDL its written slight romance in the tags. Genre is business life comedy drama.

There will definitely be slight or little romance in Today's webtoon between Kim and Nam to satisfy the romance loving audience and fans.Waise bhi Korea rom-com will be incomplete without romance👍🏼
On the other hand happy for the first lead role for Nam Yoon Su.He is even doing lead role in The Borrowed Body
