same! thats why I was annoyed with the change in music. as it is, I feel like the quality and poetry has been lost and randomly changing music to something from some 20-30 years ago felt so weird for a young couple. if it was used for anupama, it makes more sense because they are an older couple. but come on, not these two. so yea, I didn't realize how much the poetry and magic was also helped by the BGM.

does anyone else find the use of old 90s music distracting? I feel a bit irritated because I feel like it takes away the arylie magic where I am not able to enjoy the slow romance. why not play jaaniya in the background? why not play those melancholy BGM? or just create something new. ๐Ÿคท rather than feeling arylie, it feels like some other old movie I am watching -- it does not feel even a single percent true to imlie or aryan. as a result, I am struggling to connect and fangirl.

something like this packed so much more punch rather than those random old songs.

I agree 200%, I absolutely love the 90s songs and a huge bow and respect for Latha ji. But those songs are mellowing down the intensity in that situation..Just watch the water scene with the 'aankon ki' or 'laal ishq' or even Sanam songs - the effect is so much different..For that matter I didnt even like the Amma ki bitiya something...they could have switched to black & white to get that effect..

They arent Aryan or Imlie style songs..these two are power couple..and there is so much chemistry just them in the screen space even with 100 ft apart.

exactly! they have fantastic chemistry but the songs have a completely different vibe that clashes with this couple feel. a song cannot be randomly applied to every drama or every situation or every OTP. each relationship has a different dynamic and beat -- so you can't just randomly put in whatever based on lyrics. the music, the rhythm, the beat wasn't arylie in any way. so it feels like a huge tonal clash that doesn't make sense. so instead of appreciating the scene, I literally was playing on the phone. ๐Ÿคท

yea I felt disappointed really. we have a really young couple and instead of songs that would suit them, it felt off. the vibe of arylie didn't suit the music in my view. I hope that once the promotion is finished, they will go back to regular jaaniya versions, some instruments or just their own music...

I soooo agree with you...the music somehow just feels a tad bit off...and most definitely kills the mood for me! โ˜น๐Ÿ˜”

Hopefully ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿปthey will be back soon...today's epi was definitely much better in terms of music selection...

I was grinning the entire time during Imlie's portrayal when pal was playing in the backgroung! Like eeeeeeeee.... so cute!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ

oh that good to hear that it was better in today's episode. I know that I sound super picky but I really do love BGM and how they add to a feel of a drama.

there are some BGM that I fall in love with and even when I hear them way after the drama has ended, it reminds me all the feels I had while watching. it puts me right back into the mood and all the emotions.

to give an example, here is one BGM that I really enjoyed -- it is very turkish, the entire set of tunes (the composer did about 30 or more from what I can tell) has a melodramatic tone that keeps in line with the drama, the characters, the story. basically the music is a reflection of the theme and story of the drama. very on point.

so I love that the fan edit here (from 6.16) onwards keeps the music in mind by choosing an appropriate song -- it is not just the lyrics but the rhythm, the melody, the beat, the harmony -- everything is in point with the original music (that came before in the 6 minutes), the scene and the characters.

gah! the feels!!!! see random re-visit of a drama and my heart is melting! that is what music is supposed to add to the drama scene. poetry!!!

The video is unavailable!๐Ÿ˜ž

But I sooo get what you are trying to say! BGMs...good ones-are as good if not more-like songs...and I too love to listen to them even after the show ends!๐Ÿ˜

Btw which Turkish Drama were you referring to?

I really like Turkish Dramas, but am yet to find a trope that like em too.... Erkenรงi Cus/ Early Bird starring Can Yaman and Demet Ozdรซmir(forgive any spelling errors!) is my absolute all time fav! Do check it out if you haven't already/if you are interested...Hindi Dub is available on MX Player...but if you are comfy with subtitles, which I sooo suggest, watch the original one please!

even if you follow the link to watch on youtube?? the link should work in youtube but not on the forum....

this dizi is called "sen analat karadeniz" -- it is not a fun drama to watch in the sense that it covers very serious themes. it made me cry buckets, wringed my heart out, made me seethe at the villain... but then like many dramas, it lost steam about 2/3 and I just skipped and watched the ending. ๐Ÿ˜‚.... still the drama has a standout hero (very unique in some ways) and the type of villain you really loathe. and the BGM, wow, reminds me of the image of rough seas.

hopefully the trailer you will be able to see...(just click on link to see in youtube)
