I am rewatching these episodes, and my god, the way they kept side-eyeing each other is soooooo typical husband-wife.

According to his convenience, Patrakar Babu considered Imlie matured or immatured. Jab forced marriage hui.. he didn't consider it as marriage n went ahead n married Malini.. jab Imlie se pyaar hua toh Suddenly Malini aap humari Patni nahi hai.. When Imlie told him that Malini having anyone else other than him in her life was not possible that time too he was like she is being afraid n fearful so giving excuses...

I usually read through such threads only for entertainment and time pass purposes, as I have realized how years later, we will be laughing at ourselves for indulging in such Jodi/ML based fanwars which only served the purpose of feeding our egos; nothing else. Hence I kept myself away from commenting in such threads. But reading this post, i couldn't resist myself from responding, because this mindset of ripping off a female of her dignity just because you saw her with a man has to change. It reminded me of a similar allegation I had to face from people with such downgraded mindsets. Once, I had to share the front seat of a car with one of my younger colleagues who was driving me to office, as on the way we had to pick another 2 male colleagues for whom the back seat was reserved. This was noticed by one of my husband's friends who was standing at the entrance of our building while I entered the car and I was sure that the news will soon reach my husband's ears. So, as soon as I reached office I called my husband and as I was about to share the matter with him, he himself asked me why I took the front seat as it was misinterpreted by his friend as me taking the front seat when the back seat was vacant & rumors could be spread among his other friends, especially since wife of that friend was a chatterbox. What I replied to my husband is the same words I would repeat here. 'I am not going to give you any safai in my favour; I know I haven't done anything wrong and I had a genuine reason why I had to take the front seat. And I don't care what people with such disgusting mentality thinks about me. Now, it's upto you whether you want to believe me or not'. Probably because my husband was not that 'guy next door', matter got sorted there and he didn't serve me with a divorce notice. 🤣 It has been more than 15yrs since this happened and my husband is still with me. And because of this same mentality, I keep alerting my son (who is a 20th century kid) always to be careful not to even unknowingly be a reason for a girl's image be tarnished due to societal misinterpretations.

Hope this incident from my own experience would convey a right message, atleast to those who are ready to accept that, even it be for fictional characters we shouldn't cross a certain limit of derogatory remarks. To those who are not ready to accept, I don't have anything to say other than the quote, 'You can never wake a person who pretends to be asleep'.
