Suggestions for notifications:

1. Can we choose which notifications we want to see in the notification panel (?) Like, in preferences, maybe we can pick which type of notifications (tagged you, liked your post, liked a chapter in your book) we want to see when we click on the notification icon and when we actually open the notifications(using see all button), we can use the filter to see the other notifications (if we want to)

2. Mark read button is at the end of the page, can it be shifted next to the "select all" check box

Suggestions for FF section 

1.  can the arrows on the button next to the status of the story be replaced with text like "update status" or something. It is small and hence people tend to miss it, so their stories remain in drafts and unless they contact the ffes, we can't do anything about it to help them. 

2. When a person tries to upload a picture/ upload a link to a picture that's greater than the banner size, can they be notified like the time they used to be notified when they tried to upload png images?

3. The index of the stories could have another column where the beta reader of the story could be credited for br-ing that particular chapter (they could be official member of IF FF BR team, or any another user) just like the FFGs are credited below the story title. We are currently crediting them using teh Author's note blank or in the chapter itself, but it would be great if they get more visible credit.

4. Filters that can help people sort stories based on forums and the status of the story. Right now, we can just see the status if the story, but maybe if we clicked on the button, it takes us to all the stories having same status. Currently, we have to visit the forum to see the stories posted under the forum. So, if there was a dropbox in the FF section that showed all the forums having a stories (posted in the FF section in that forum) and a user can choose forum of their choice, they can read their choice of stories more quickly. But if this filters work together (and not exclusively), it would be better.

Currently we are showing just 3 or less badges for each user beside their post. Like it is showing my anniversary badge and engager badge only and I have many more.

So we will work on the same to increase it to around 9-10 so that members can easily flaunt their badges beside their post.

Many times when we are updating our site it leads to site showing "Under Maintenance" page. And this at times make the user lose their post and that could be very frustrating. 

We will have work on a deployment process that minimises such downtimes and most updates can be done with Zero Downtime.

And this will enable us in making frequent software updates to the site without much disruption to live visitors.


UPDATE: 

We made some progress as now the site remains available for browsing while we are updating the site. But some members who are active that time may get logged out. 

We are still working on this.

I don't know if this is a feasible request but can we have a personalised calendar tab on our profiles to mark our IF friends' special days like birthdays etc. The beauty of IF is that we don't know each other in person but we share really nice bonding with most people and therefore would like to celebrate their big days with them. So a calendar would be nice for people like me who do tend to forget special days and events 😆

In the current system once the post is made we cannot tag any user while editing the post.

This was done so that people cannot add / remove users once tagged as we cannot remove the notifications once sent. 

However there are times when we are posting and we may have forgotten to use the tag user feature. 

So to solve that we would allow user to add tags in edit post if there are no tagged user in that post.

Would like to see changes in IF ladders too 

Should we add the option to react on PMs just the way we have on Forum posts?

And sender can see the same directly from their Inbox (receiver) / Outbox (sender) page without the need to go inside the PM to see the reaction.

Revive the Quiz section as it has a lot of potential as it serves dual purpose. People learn something new and at the same time it's fun competing. A lot of new quiz will be created.

We will bring some special quiz for important dates like Independence Day, Republic Day, Diwali, Holi, Eid, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi etc.. 

Members who participate in these and answer all the questions will get a Special Badge designed for these occasions.

Previously I was able to lookup old posts and threads by visiting a member’s profile and looking at their posts. Is this feature no longer available?

We will bring it back with the option to Allow All / Buddies Only / Disallow other members to view their MyPost page. 

Please give us option to add a gif in our Display picture like how we had in IF earlier.
