For most people, having your own blood matters. Especially if it’s carried by someone else, this will help them bond. When it’s their own blood, they can relate, family can relate. The first thing most people do when they look at the newborn is say who he/she looks like. It’s a small thing but helps parents attach. We shouldn’t dismiss these feelings, if it didn’t matter then people wouldn’t have been procreating since eons.
As for adoption, it’s not an easy process. I have looked into it personally. There’s a long line for people to get healthy newborn baby , but not enough people to adopt kids with disabilities. Plus Rules of adoption changes from a country to country.
Anyways they used a surrogate, it’s their choice.
@bold.. that's all I asked. In surrogacy genetics will be real parents only as it depends on embryo but yes blood will be from surrogate. Many object on this point only.
no , we dont get to decide whether the reasons are silly or not .. she is already 39 ..means it will always be high risk pregnancy . plus adoption is not always the answer .. not everyone is sure if they will be able to love an adopted child fairly .. there can be so many such concerns ..
Based on the article she has no fertility issues and coming to risk at 39, as I told age is just a number if you donot have fertility issues...
Blood group also depends upon genes of original parents only baby will take nutrition from surrogate mother.

I wonder how Indian couples get light skinned, blonde, blue eyed kids through surrogacy..specially when both parents have black/brown hair ..genes don't play a role there?
