Hello. This short one-shot is based on the scene where Golo Chaachu teases Anubhav for dressing up for Gungun. That scene immediately made me think of a time when Anubhav would actually dress up for her so I just need to write it down. The song I've used is Dhoka Dhadi from R...Rajkumar sung by Arijit Singh and Palak Muchhal. It's a very sweet and cute song which I think fits for the initial stages of love when you start to lose your heart over the other. Enjoy!

“Woh aane vaali hai…”
Golu chaachu’s words rang in Anubhav’s head as he put on a sherwani with intricate designing. It had been a long time since then. A long time since his sister’s wedding.
He looked at the collection of pocket squares in his cupboard. The sherwani set had come with a designer pocket square with floral patterns on it. He would look truly handsome.
But then his eyes shifted to another. A deep, dark pink one.
Dil yeh dhokha dhadi kar dega, Socha na tha
Just then Golu Chaachu came bustling in the room while buttoning up his sherwani.
“Anu, ek pocket square de na jo iss sherwani ke saath jaaye. Mere paas matching ka mil nahi raha.” He poked his head beside Anubhav’s into the cupboard.
His eyes trailed over the colorful assortment of cloth before his eyes settled on the pink one.
“Haan yeh accha hai. Sherwani ke saath ja bhi raha hai.” He was about to set it in his sherwani before Anubhav interrupted.
“Arey, chaachu.Yeh vaala toh main lagane vaala tha. Aap koi doosra dekh lijiye na.” Anubhav said not quite looking his uncle in the eye.
Itni yeh gadbadi kar dega, Socha na tha
“Par Anu, mujhe yaad hai iss sherwani ke saath toh yeh floral print vaala aaya tha na? Tu voh laga na. Best lagega.”
“Lekin mujhe pink vaala hi lagana hai. Aap koi doosra dekho na.” Anubhav snatched it from him.
“Kya bhai? Pink vaala hi kyu jab already tere paas iska matching ka hai?” Inquired Golu chaacha.
“Arey chodho na, chaachu.”
“Nahi, nahi. Bata kyu.”
Anubhav muttered something under his breath.
“Kya? Kya, maine suna nahi. Zor se bol.” Urged Golu chaacha.
Anubhav raised his eyes to meet his. He saw a mischievous glint in his eyes and he knew there was no way out. He never could lie to his chaachu. He could never lie period.
“…yeh, woh…Gun-Gungun ka…uska favorite color hai…toh maine socha-“ Anubhav spoke in broken sentence, stumbling over words before his chacchu cut him off.
Aisi mushkil khadi kar dega, Socha na tha
“Aaaye haaye, mere sher! Gungun ka favorite color hai. Ab samjha. Gungun ke liye taiyaar hua jaa raha hai. Chal koi na. Main koi doosra le leta hoon. Tu pehen pink vaala.” Chacchu left after picking a red one for himself.
Anubhav’s face matched the color of the deep pink pocket square he was holding. The top of his ears burned bright red as he put on the pink pocket square.
Just then, the bathroom door opened and out stepped Gungun in a bright deep pink embroidered Anarkali while trying to put in one of her earrings.
He watched as she huffed and kept stabbing her ear in an attempt to put it in.
“You need help?” He asked while watching her in the mirror he was standing in front of.
Gungun watched his face for a few seconds before cautiously replying, “Yes please.”
He walked over to and took the earing from her. Anubhav brushed her long hair over her other shoulder as his breath brushed over her neck. He felt her stiffen slightly. He decided to ignore it.
Ud gaye tote re, tere to ud gaye tote re
After he was done with the earring, he was about to walk off before Gungun grabbed his arm.
She turned him around and her hand reached for the pocket square. Her eyes met his after taking in the color of the cloth and stayed there while she fixed its condition.
He looked into her eyes searching for something. He didn’t know what he was searching for. He knew he would know when-if he finds it.
But before he could, she smiled up at him and started to head toward the room they have been sharing for the three months of their marriage.
It has been a long time since his sister’s wedding.
He stood there completely still before he heard Gungun call out to him from the door.
“Scientist.”
He turned towards her.
A smile appeared on her face again. “Acche lag rahe ho,” she said before bouncing off into the courtyard of the house where everyone was starting to gather to go to his cousin's wedding.
He stood there processing her words before a smile crept up on his face.
Chaachu was right. Guess he was dressing up for her.
He didn’t hate it.
